Something
Have you ever wanted something so bad
that you knew you could never have
When all it did was abuse and use you
and make you feel numb and blue
But you were so determined to make it real
and loved how those minutes made you feel
How that something you desired was in grasp
and you drempt the that moment wouldn't pass
And you had sense that it was all a lie
but you pushed it away so you wouldn't cry
And those minutes felt like you were flying
and now you know the truth, you cant stop crying
And the truth is all you really wanted to know
not for that something you desired to leave and go
And that something said "I've liked you for awhile"
and at the time that something made you smile
But now you know it was all a lie
and all you want to do is cry
But deep down inside you don't want to let go
of the painful but exciting memories you know
And the you in this poem is me
and now i realize i can see
That what i wanted was just a dream
and those minutes were just that somethings fantasy
And that something is you
which all along i hope you knew
And all i want is the truth and why?
Why did you take advantage of me and why did you lie?
And the truth is i hope you knew
That I don't like you, I love you
