Why can't I know,
Who is to say,
The reason I can't go outside today.
So what if it's cold,
So what if there's rain,
It really won't matter, I'll still feel the same.
So I ran to the park,
And hid under the tree,
Where I shivered and hoped that they wouldn't find me.
I didn't notice at first,
Blinded by the tears in my eyes,
The girl under the tree beneath the dark skies.
I couldn't stop crying,
And she looked at my face,
Then she gave me a hug at the tree's base.
I then became calm,
I looked at her smile,
And we hugged under the tree in the rain for a while.
She said that she liked me
And that she felt alone,
I frowned at the sadness found in her tone.
I gave her a kiss
And she held me tight,
And we stayed warm and in love throughout the cold, rainy night.
