Chapter 1
When I was born I heard a flutter of wings and saw a girl. That’s all I can remember everything else is a blur. I always wanted to know what that person and that sound was. I asked my mom what it was and she said. “I will tell you when you are older Chune.” and it wasn’t fair that the only thing I knew I could know about. But now I’m 14 and I can’t talk about it to anyone without having something happen to them. So I’m very isolated from others. I got no friends and no admirers. But my mom comforts me. But I finally decide I will ask her again. When I got home it was raining. I came up to her . I say. “Mom can you tell me now what that thing was when I was born.” she said. “I guess. But you better pay attention because I’m only saying this once. The thing you always wanted to know is that sound and thing you saw was your sister. Chuska.” Then a crack of lightning came from out side and I closed my eyes and when I opened them again my mom was gone. I searched and couldn’t find her. I felt like of bit my heart just crumbled away. She was gone I could tell it
