The mistake heard around the world.
Not a pretty one to say the least.
People ridiculed and laughed,
when she got the scar of the beast.
The mark transforms people,
as it did me.
When primal instinct takes over
the beast must be freed.
The shark smelt blood,
The tiger saw its prey.
I just couldn't tame the animal,
when all she wanted to do was play.
When pain became pleasure.
When teeth and flesh collide.
The world stops momentarily,
for the beast has nothing to hide.
The mistake heard around the world,
or so it has been called.
But from the smile on her face,
it doesn't seem like a mistake at all.
