A man stands about 6'5 and 300 pounds just outside a old wooden door. He's dressed in casual appare with an old, yet comfertable, brown colored shirt and ragged blue jeans. The building around him is nothing less of run down. A glowing light inside is surrounded by the noise of music and people chattering. Another man sits at the bar drinking by himself. The rest of the room is chatting about a sporting event that just took place and they are celebrating with strangers as if they where long time friends.
The bartender asks, "You done for the night Jay?"
The man drinking by himself answers, "Ya. This place got to noisy for me anyway." He gave the bartender a smile and took the last sip of his drink. While doing so he caught a glimpse of a women near by.
He paused in shock. He set down his glass with the look of terror in his eyes as he continued to stare at her.
The bartender looked at him and then to where he was staring. "What are you looking at Jay?"
No response from Jay. He just kept looking. Jay couldn't understand how she could still be around.
"JAY!", the bartender screamed just before slapping him back to focus.
Jay shook his head and looked at the bartender with an evil glare. Then again took his eyes back to where he saw the women. She was gone.
"Why the hell did you do that?!" he glared at the bartender again, "Couldn't you tell i was preoccupied"
"Well you looked pretty piss scared to me and i can't have a face like that scaring my costumers"
Jay sighed and looked back to his glass. "Just give me another drink and i'll be out of here."
The bartender complied and gave him his drink again. The bartender then moved on to other custumers that where willing to get back to the party after refils.
Jay couldn't help but feel a chill crawl over him.
If she's still around... then that means
A strong wind outside started to pick up. The clouds themselves blanketed the stars and moon. The large man outside looked around curiously to make sure no one was trying to get in.
Then the rain started to fall
The large man outside sighed and opened the door to the bar to grab a raincoat. Just as he did a purple and black mist shot throught the doorway. The force of the entry blew the large man clean over. In no time at all Jay turned around in panic and screamed as the mist came at him.
The mist morphed into the form of a human with the arm extending out for Jay's neck. It completed the form and looked like anyone else as the man now strangled Jay.
"Where is it?!" The man screamed knowing he had to keep the fear in Jay to get him to talk.
After a moment there was no answer.
"Don't make me ask twice Jay." He twisted a bit with his one hand. The strength of which made Jay's eyes bulge and the terror streaming across his face more and more obvious. The rest of the people in the bar huddled next to eachother in the far corners not wanting to get in the way.
Jay started to mumble but was cut off by the man's grip.
Slowly the man released his grip, but only enough to let him speak. "You know what i'm asking for. I'm sure you've seen her by now" A smirk grew across the mans face.
Jay stared the man into his bright blue eyes. "I don't have it anymore" he gulped down "I traded it out for a little money. It was worthless to all the jewlers with that crack inside the gem"
The man's face became inraged and he struck him right in gut knockin the wind out of him. The force of the air comming out of Jay hit the man and made a part of him suddenly appear a purple and black mist. Then just as fast was back to looking normal.
"I want to know who you gave it Jay... I might let you live if you give me good details" He relaxed his grip to let Jay speak comfertably.
Jay stared at him and sighed a bit. "I gave it to a collector of rare stones over in Trian. His name is Esi. He won't really like you barging in on him" Jay gave out a small smile.
Rie sighed and let go of Jay having him fall back into his bar stole. Rie turned and headed for the door stepping over the large man who was outside.
"You know you can't go back Rie... The crystal holds no more answers for you. You're just a walking ghost like her now."
Rie turned an evil glar back to Jay. His eyes flaring an intense purple. "It's the only thing i have. And the only hope of ever seeing her again."
Rie kept walking and opened the door to see it was still raining in pitch darkness outside. He kept going down the road and as Jay watched he could see when each rain drop hit Rie it turned a part of him into a cloud of purple and black mist.
