chapter 1 zhou yin
i saw my brother and the great men and women of wu fall one by one, by Orochi's hands. i was seperated from my beloved Lu Xun, and had to serve Orochi in his army.i hate doing so but i must do what i can to help...
Zhou Yu, my older brother, who taught me everything i know, was talking to his best friend, Sun Ce. i couldnt tell what it was edcatly, but a had a feeling it was about this crummy army we are all forced to serve. i walked closer to them and foun out that i was right.
"i don't like serving that snake," Sun Ce huffed.
"neither do i mi-lord, but we must endur for the sake of your father," Zhou Yu replied placing a tender hand on Ce's shoulder.
"brother i hope you wont leave today," i sighed as i gave him a hug.
"im afraid that your brother will be doing some cleaning for Orochi," said Orochi's statagest, Da Ji. i never liked her.
"if my brother goes, then so do i!" i said tightning my grip on Zhou Yu's arm.
"fine with me," Da Ji waved then left
we left shortly after receving our instuctions.Sun Ce didn't look pleased at all. i reached out for the pice of paper which told us "our jobs". we were attacking a rebellion, basicly, silence them.
"brother must we kill them?" i asked getting onto the beutiful white horse.
"i suppose it's up to Sun Ce weither or not we will take their lives," Yu replied with a small smile and a shrug.
i looked up at Sun Ce, even when on a horse the man was taller than me...well he was on a horse too, so that does't count! Sun ce sighed as he stared down at me, he patted my head.
"i guess we have no choice in the matter," he winked.
that was a good sign, cause that meant that he was lieing, we wont kill them, we'll let them escape then lie to Da Ji.
three more people came up to us, they too were on horse back. one of then was a ninja of iga. his name i think was hanzo. he was about as tall as my brother, but sometimes i cant tell, cause he slouches alot. the lower part of his face is always covered and so was most of his body. the only thing i could see was his eyes! ninjas are sooo weird!!!
we were supposed to silence the rebiels, i was so against this but my brother needed me, and maybe i'll find Lu Xun, i know he's still alive and i have to find him. i hate fighting people who struggle yo survive, but what is war but survival of the fittest
"Zhou Yin, go to the west, i'll take center, Hanzo go east,we'll cornner them," Zhou Yu said.
"Alright brother," i sighed as i had my horse gallop to the west.
the enemy tried to corner me, but it was pointless. My daggers sliced them down. A man who looked an awfully lot like Cao Cao cam at me on his black horse. i flung one of my flying needels at him, but he blocked it with his sword.
"Your not so bad old man," i grinned , this my be worth my time after all, and hopefully this will be a fun battle.
I road up close to get a good swing at my opponent with my twin sabers, the ones Lu Xun gave me. that pest of a man kept blocking my attacks. i could feel the blood rush through my veins. i quickly bent backwards dodgeing one of the mans swings. i could see my reflection on his blade. i ordered my men to keep his toops occupied, they were starting to annoy me like nats. i swung at his side and cought onto leather and metal. i pulled back and placed my blades defensivly.
"Why do you fight with orochi warrior?" he demanded.
"I fight with WU, with my brother, not that snake orochi!" i yelled going in for another attack.
i succeded in knocking the man off his horse, meaning that defeating him would be easyer. but i saw four more officers heading towards us, and i galloped off. i stoped at the edge of a river and let my horse drink, while i waited i began cleaning my sabers.
"i know your there Da Ji," i sighed as i turned around.
da ji walked out of the shadows with two of orochi's generic officers behinde her.
"you should have killed him," da ji glared.
"i should have but i didn't, da ji if you want him dead so badly, go kill him your self," i smiled at her rage, and confusion. she doesnt own me. so why should i have to do all her work like some dog? the rage and confusion left her face suddenly and was replaced by her wicked grin.
"if you don't kill him, or at least try, i'll have your preshious Lu Xun executed," she sneered.
i whiped my head towards her, away from my horse, and glared. how dare she use Lu Xun like thar...butwhat else could i do? i have to save Lu Xun by any means
"you little whitch! how dare you..." i started.
"ahaaaa, hold your tounge or Lu Xun might lose his," da ji grinned spinning on her heals and leaving, the officers with her chuckeled then took their leave with their lady, leaving me with my horse.
i mounted then galloped off to where i thought that cao cao look alike would be. i found him leading his troops further ahead into our base.
"i hope your ready to die!" i yelled charging at the look alike with my sabers out.
he turned around and placed his sword in a defensive position. i kicked him off his horse and onto the dirt. his men tried to attack me. o took out my needils and killed them one small group at a time. soon it was only me and him. he got up as i killed the last man.
"humph, so you returned," he sneered
"yeah, i cant let you go any further."
he attacked me, but i blocked with my tin sabers. i pushed him back and tried to thrust my right blade intoi his stomic. he blocked it. i jumped back dodging a swing from his sword.
"you continue to fight, young one, all for the wrong reasond," he sighed.
"my reasons are just! you look alike!"
we coninued to fight, i was swifter then he was, for he was weighed down by age. however he countered my attacks, and tried to get the upper hand, but i danced awayfrom each atempt. coming back with all my strength! suddenly another man came into view. he was dressed in grey and blue. he had long black hair and he rode in on a white horse.
"lord nobunaga!" he yelled galloping into our fight.
i attempted to finish the copycat, but he blocked again. by that time the other man came in blocking my way with his body, his aword held up in defense.
"go mi-lord! i will take care of her," he said.
i twurled 0ne of my sabers in my right hand and smiled. "move out of my way," i said pointing at him with the left blade.
"you will go no further!" he responded sharply.
"we'll see soon, now wont we," i chimed as i charged in.
he blocked al my attacks, except for one. i had triped him. i got back up and pined him down. "sorry, but i have a life to save," i said letting my attention leave him, he took that time to push me off and go after his sword. zhou tai kicked it away from him. i looked up with a smile then went for the kill. sun ce pulled me back. i dropped my weapon in shock.
"why stop me?!" i demanded.
"the battle is over, we won, let him go," sun ce replied with a softness in his words.
the man got up and ran away. i was upset, but also happy. i didn't want to kill him for fighting against orochi, but i got cought up in the excitement of battle. we returned to our camp and ate well,i couldnt touch my food not knowing if the lu brothers were eating or not, if they were being tourtured because of my failure. i could only prey that da ji has spared their lives. lu xun please stay alive
