Chapter 5
Transformations




As Daymond and I strolled down the street at night going home from Setsune’s house. He was so flustered an angry . Because every time we walked by other people they call us a good looking couple. Sometimes if he gets to angry and there is a can around he would kick it into the persons shin. As I laugh he gets more flustered then before. He started. “So…is that girl your friend…from before?” I answered “yeah. And I’m sorry that she hugged you to death. She really likes cats.”
As I heaved a sigh he looked the other way and saw someone he knew. and all a sudden it popped into my head….Karson. Daymonds cousin. When I turn toward Daymond he was a cat. And as his cousin came up to me he said “Hi Lin! What is such a beauty out here on such a secluded road out in the country. Did you come here just for me or for my ungrateful cousin Daymond.” As he held a piece of my hair and kissed it. Then Daymond had heard enough and seen enough. He pounced and clawed him leg once. Then Karson transformed into a silver cat. They started fighting . As if I was a precious gem to both of them and they were fighting over it to see who gets its natural beauty. After a few minutes of gruesome clawing and biting Karson got Daymonds neck and bit down. Daymond yelped and Karson let go.
Karson said in a maniacal meow “If you are no match for me you filth how do you expect to protect Lin. Maybe I would be better suited to her.” As they transformed back Daymond has still bleeding from his neck but it didn’t look as severe as it looked while he was a cat. “ Lin.” as Karson started. “I can’t let you stay with this weakling any longer. Come with me Lin” As he grabbed me Daymond slapped his hand and said. “ I’m not a weakling and you are more weak for doing this.” As he gave Karson a icy glare that made me shiver. And after a few minutes Karson finally said. “Fine. But if you don’t protect her then I will.” As Karson raised his foot and jumped over 10 feet in the air and then disappear.
Once he left I helped Daymond up and he said. “ Sorry I got you into this Lin.” He looked like a beat up old trash can . But he also had a devastated look in his eye. He had a few spots a blood but they looked like it was better than before. “ It’s okay Daymond.” As we started walking again down this quiet road to my house. Everything was at peace in the world. Then I had to ask something. “Daymond how do you transform into a cat?” he answered. “We transform when we are angry or when we want to become a cat.” He looked surprised I asked. “Oh.” I looked at him and asked. “How long have you been able to transform?” He looked at me and answered. “ Since I was 3 I was able to.” I looked even more stunted then before. And I stopped asking questions. We finally got to my house. I said farewell to Daymond and he watched until I got inside my house.
