PERSONALITY : Loves to explore, see the world for herself. She is a curious person, a bit bold and confident in what she does. Anything shiny instantly captivates her, especially if it's round.
SHORT BIO : Nekai was born to a small family of mages high up in the mountains of Nippon. For centuries on end, her bloodline protected the country, connecting with the heavans and using their strength to banish evils unable to be seen by a mere mortal. Eventually the gods resided their powers within the family, each member receiving a gift of the gods at birth. Kai recieved the abillity to control water and manipulate it to her will only several years after birth, and was fully able to control it at age seven. As she entered her adolescent years, she left her family to reside further up the mountains, where she would spend the next seven years of her life in training. After enjoying the years of peace across the country, a demon came forth from the warm Earth, rampaging through all of Nippon and causing great stresses within the ground, causing tremors and movements that came to be known by the humans as Earthquakes. The beast was unable to be caught, and eventually made it's way up the mountains, shaking the Earth so violently a terrible landslide was born, and ran down well over half of the country. Being close to the tops of the mountain, Kai and her residence was unnaffected- However, in the event, her family home was wiped out and her entire bloodline along with it. Kai was in so much shock from the death of her family, her sorrow, hate, and emotions concentrated into a curious alternate form known as Nekai. The form is a mirror image of her, but far more powerful and reckless than her true self. She spent the next several years figuring out how to contain her form, as well as hone her abillities, her mind completely set on finding the demon who still roams the world. Seven years later, she left her home in the mountains, and into the world to find the demon who had taken her family from her.
WEAPON OF CHOICE IF ANY : Her mian weapon is a large Katana she wears at her side, Tsukiakari, a silver steel sword decorated with small designs and blue/black Tsuka. Her secondary and tertiary weapons reside on the outsides of her legs, two double-edged throwing knives Tsuin and Tsume. Her fourth weapon is a small sword she keeps at her side near Tsukiakari, an unnamed wakizashi that is black in color, with several strips of blue cloth wrapped around the Tsuka. She has yet to clain a fifth weapon.
OTHER INFORMATION: Kai if often seen with a gourd resting on her left hip, carrying water [and sometimes sake] so she can keep her fluids running. When she uses her water abillities, she draws from bodies of water around her, and if there are none, she draws water from her own body. Kai wears a decoration on her left arm, a silver armlet which keeps the drain on her own body low if she ever needs to pull water from herself. On rare occasions, she can solidify the water into ice, and even draw energy from her body to create an electric charge.
