I recently realized that I don't have to rhyme lyrics to make them good. For those imaginary naysayers out there (because nobody reads this. Let's not kid ourselves here) I point out to you that music is poetry in a melody, and did Edgar Allen Poe rhyme his-- ...bad example.
The rain is falling again
Cracking boulders to pieces
The many unanswered questions
you couldn't begin to ponder
I don't need you
I will seek Him
The horns that sprout upon my head
Just a moniker of my fading soul
Learning of the monster's habits
I have found that I am converting
Tobias, the Wise One
Remind me of who I'm supposed to be
Ladders are falling away now
Rungs that can't hold your weight anymore
Grasp at the straws you cast away so long ago
It's so humourous to watch you flounder
But that is for another time
I must find Him
The horns that sprout upon my head
Just a moniker of my fading soul
Learning of the monster's habits
I have found that I am converting
Tobias, the Wise One
Remind me of who I'm supposed to be
It is He who wonders
Why I bother
Trying to be a
Human being
When I can't hate
But I have to find Him
