A Princess Story: Prologue (part one)
I stood in front of a girl I thought only existed in legends. Her hair was dark brown with caramel highlights, her nose looked as if you could ski on it, and her warm-brown eyes were fierce, yet gentle. Her accent sounded different than anyone else in this room, let alone the country. I was so used to the fluid "melodies" coming out of people's mouths that I forgot she was from here.
When she told me to come with her, I refused. I wasn't used to people ordering me around. I was a princess for heaven's sake. Not only am I princess, but I am a fairy princess. HRH Princessa Nadia-Maria Danica X, daughter of HM Queen Nadia-Maria Danica IX and HM King Adrian-Marquez Antonio IV of Amorra and Isla de las Hadas. I may be biased, but Amorra is truly the most beautiful place in the world.
The girl, "Queen Violet-Elise Marie of Amorra", had stopped talking and was looking right at me. How did I really know she was Queen Violet? So I said to her, "You must prove yourself." She said something to the boy next to her and he nodded. I stared out the window at my kingdom. The fairies were fluttering around and about. Their hair, different shades of pink, purple, blue, green, and any other color you can imagine, sparkled in the sun. The ocean was as blue as ever. The wings of my people shimmered. I smiled and glanced at my mother.
Her sky-blue eyes, which I inherited, were wide with awe for some odd reason. Then I saw what was in "Queen Violet" 's hand. The Rose Bell. The oh-so-legendary Rose Bell. And she had it. And that meant...oh no.
She was the Queen.
