An individuals development is affected by a lot of factors.
As for theory of Intelligence, I think it would be better to discuss the theory of knowledge. It's a broader idea, but a not very blunt one. If you could narrow the discussion down to a specific area of knowledge, like the aspect of knowing, that could go on forever. It's be debated and spoken of since ancient times.
As for intelligence, intelligence is actual, it's applicable. And I say this definitively because intelligence is a different idea than knowledge. This idea and opinion could be debated separately from knowledge and what is knowing too. Intelligence would be an actualization of direct concurrent actions and ideas conceptualized and actualized in a meaningful and deliberate way. Knowledge would be the spectrum of why you know what you know and how you know it. How you came to make the assertions about the timing and placing of your actions. Intelligence is a very deliberately and self spoken thing. It comes out in the actions and words of people in every moment. And any moment of a persons life and their actions can reflect their intelligence. With that said I don't believe intelligence is a theory. It's action.
Now I don't know exactly what is meant by hereditary intelligence. Intellect, rather, instinct can be a very hereditary factor in development. It could cause a tendency toward anything from favourite or proffered foods to sexual preferences. Notice I said preferences and not orientation.
Teaching methods? Like how to better assert a way of doing something? If it's a simple and effective way of demonstrating theory and method then it's a brilliant. Smacking a student over the head with a frying pan, entertaining, but less effective.
Environment, peers, parental figures, and many other factors can impact the intellect of an individual vividly. More so their ability to assimilate information and express themselves. Environment can make an effect on personal growth in many ways. This is a very broad topic and could be expressed as an individual thread as well.
As for I.Q. scores, I.Q. scores are bullshit. Not just because they are obsolete and more standardized tests based on a rank in standard deviation exist, but because from the outset they were very poor at expressing tendency. I.Q. scores are right up their with brain preference and phrenology. It's a dead pseudoscience.
