She was born in London, England, the year was 1830. Her family was very poor, as was the rest of their town. Her mother and father did what they could to survive and put food on the table, even if it wasn't everyday. Two years after she was born, Natsumi's parents discovered that she wasn't normal like others. They were witness to Natsumi transforming into a bird right before their eyes. Emily and Jacob had a long talk about Natsumi. They knew that no one could know about what they had seen, for if anyone knew, they could be in serious trouble and seen as evil. They decided to keep it a secret forever. Natsumi began to transform into other things, it seemed like an uncontrollable ability. When Natsumi learned to talk and walk, Emily and Jacob sat her down and had a long talk with her about keeping her ability a secret and learning to control it. They told her of the consequences in someone finding out. Over the years Natsumi only used her ability when inside her home. At the age of 8, she was with her mother at the market when she began to realize how poor the actually . She wanted to help her parents become more wealthy. That night, after bed, Natsumi transformmed herself into a cat, grabbed an small empty, satchel and slipped out the door. She ran as fast as she could up to the Queen's castle. When she reached the castle, she noticed an open window in a tower. She climbed a tree next to the castle wall and transformed into a bird, flying up to the window. Making sure no one was in the room, she flew in and transformed back to her human form. She noticed a vanity and walked over to it. There were gold coins spread out on it. Her heart raced as she opened the satchel and quickly put the coins inside. Transforming back into a bird, she flew out of the room and continued to fly, her wings moving as fast as possible, thanking the heavens that she was not caught. Natsumi made it home and set the satchel on a table. In the morning, Natsumi informed her parents of what she'd done and they asked her to do it once a month. For two years, Natsumi went to the castle and collected coins from that same room. Then, one night while collecting the coins, the Queen entered the room. Terrified, Natsumi transformed into a bird and took off out the window. The guards took off, running in the direction she flew. Natsumi knew that if she flew home, her parents would be in trouble as well. She flew past her village and kept flying, straight into a forest. The gaurds followed as best they could. Natsumi weaved in and out of trees, flying up over the tree tops. Soon, the guards gave up as it was too dark to see anymore. Natsumi landed high up in a tree. Breathing heavily, she decided to rest there until the morning. Morning came and Natsumi took off towards home. The gaurds however, were storming the area, searching for the one who fit the description that the queen gave. If she went home, the gaurds would recognize her and find the coins. She couldn't let that happen. She decided to fly, far away to the mountains, deciding that the best place to stay for now would be a cave. She lived as a human and animal for several years. Transforming into an animal only when she ventured out to find food. She braved the elements and grew up in her seclusion. At 17, she left the cave and headed for civilization. She still had the satchel. In the first town she came to, she got something to eat, some clothes to wear and a place to clean up, where she finally saw her reflection for the first time. Even though she was 17, it didn't show. She seemed to have not aged physically over the years, being that her appearance was that of a 10yr old. It was now 1847, she lived in that town for many years, earning money by selling flowers and fruits. The years went by but her body stayed the same. Over the next 90 years, times changed. Natsumi was witness to things that no one else lived to see. Everything that happened, in London and everywhere else, she either saw, or read about it when the newspaper was created. It was 1937, she was technically 107, but she only looked to be about 12. Eventually someone decided that it was wrong for someone "so young" to be living on her own like she was. Natsumi's house was sold and she was put in a orphange. She wasn't happy about it but what could she do. No one could know her true age. Natsumi continued to live in the orphange until it was shut down, 40 years later. It was 1977. Natsumi was taken in by a couple who put her into school. Natsumi was started at a 5th grade level. She wasn't too far behind the other kids. She went on through 12th grade. She was granted a car after she graduated and with that, Natsumi left home. For several years, she traveled to many places, eventually settling in a small city. There she met a young man who invited her to join his group of friends. She decided to do so. They called themselves Eternal Dawn. Natsumi was shocked to found out that they all had special abilities as well. Natsumi stayed with this group for a many months before problems caused them to disband. She stayed in contact with many of them. She became slave to one of them (in a good way) and best friend and sister to another. Afterwards, she discovered new places to go and hang out with other people who also had special abilities. She's made friends with many of them, even joining up with another clan. Now, she doesn't have to hide she shapeshifting abilities and she is happy with her life.....for now..
