This are poems I wrote back when I was 11 and I thought I would be fun to put them up. So enjoy.

My Castle In The Clouds
Up in the clouds there is castle
big as big can be
with turrets and flags and stairs you see.
But oh this place is just for me.
Here I can be a maiden fair
with really long beautiful hair.
Or a damsel in distress,
Rescued by a knight on a mighty steed.
But it isn't really real you see,
For the castle in the clouds
is inside of me.

The Cat I See
Ears that hear the smallest sound.
Eyes for the night so big and round.
A nose that smells the littlest things.
Muscles so strong for it to spring.
Teeth like daggers that flash at night.
Claws of needles to help it fight.
The cat is lord of the house,
I should know for I am the
MOUSE.

Butterflies
Butterflies, Butterflies, they are so pretty,
In the country, or in the city.
Stained glass windows, that ride the wind.
The beauty that comes at the caterpillars end.

Kitten
Kitten sleeping quietly.
Idling the day away.
The only thoughts are dreams,
Those of sunshine and of play.
Even now as he sleeps, he's
Not as calm as he seems.

Autumn Leaves
Autumn Leaves
falling gently
in the breeze.
Red and orange,
Yellow and brown,
swirling now
all around.
Rake them
and shape them
into a pile.
Use them for art
that makes us smile.

Hearts
Hearts of candy and of stone.
Hearts on a card given with a rose.
Hearts that are painted on a child's face.
Hearts made of ribbons and Victorian lace.
Hearts done up as a balloon.
All can be was to say,
I Love You.
