Why daddy why
------------------
She sits in class
The teacher walked past
Seeing a bruise
The teacher sees but she doesnt ask
Each day she will walk
People ask but she wont talk
When she opens the door
She tries to go to her room
Trying to ignore the screaming around her
Which was produced by her father.
She sits on her bed
Trying to hide the cuts on her head
She hears the stomps coming closer and closer.
She runs and hides under her bed.
The door opens she sees his feet and
can hear his drunken yells.
She is grabbed by the arm.
He slaps her and pushes her down.
He yells at her "DONT MAKE A SOUND!"
The neighbors hear but
ignore the pounds.
She cries and cries yelling
"Why daddy why!"
As she is struck again
It all turns dark.
She awakes the next morning
With a cut and a mark.
Then she gets up so it can happen
all over again.
