Kohaku, Sango's older brother, will be attending college soon in Osaka Japan. Their parents are very proud of him. Treating him as if he is the oxygen they breath everyday they live. But as for Sango, the auburn haired girl is treated rather poorly. Mr. and Mrs. Atsumi beleive very strongly that she is a disgrace to the family. As punishment for this, she is forced to do most of the chores around the house. Then right after she gets home from school, she must do whatever homework that she may have.
Almost every weekend, the girl's father would come home from work, late and drunk. Due to his intoxicated a** he would pick fights with Sango's mother. It normally would start out as just fooling around and a few laughs will be shared, but the outcome was always the same. It ended in a fight. There were also certain occasions where Sango was unexpectedly dragged into the argument.
Shiro Okami High is one of the best things that has ever happened to Sango. She first attended this school freshman year without knowing a single person. Until after the first few months, she was easily accepted into a group of greath trusting friends.

Sango carefully s**t her locker door and walked a regular path out of the girls' locker room. Her deep caramel eyes were focused on the tiled floor as she put her hair up into a high ponytail. Entering into the gym, she noticed a small group of people speaking and laughing to eachother. Sango already knew the names of these students. Without having anyone to hang out with, it was kind of unavoidable to learn the names of students around her.
Sango stood up against the wall with her hands rested being her back. Her eyes scanned the whole gym, searching for nothing in particular. Becoming lost in her thoughts, the girl swore that the whole world around her had vanished. The students's voices turned into the never ending thought fluttering in her mind. She almost seemed to be at peace for the time being. But all that seemed to shatter when someone started speaking to her.
"Sango-chan, am I right?" Sango snapped out of her trance like state and turned to see Rin Murisaki standing before her. Rin was a short hyperactive girl that everyone seemed to fall in love with.
"Yes it is." Sango responded feeling curious as to why someone was actually speaking to her. The Murisaki girl's eyes lit up with a sparkle and a friendly smile appeared on her face.
"Well I was wondering, would you like to be one of my bestest friends?" Her deep brown eyes turned into up-turned V's in a huge grin. Sango looked at the girl for a moment with disbelief. No one ever really asked her such a question before.
A gleaming smile shone across the taller girl's features. "Sure" Rin Murisaki literaly jumped in the air with excitement then grabbed onto Sango's hand; running and leading her nearly across the gym.
"C'mon, I want you to meet some people." Rin giggled.
'Wow, am I actually going to be apart of something..?' So many thoughts ran through her mind as they came closer to the group of people Rin wanted her to meet.
"Guys Guys! This is Sango Atsumi!" Rin proclaimed with giddyness in her voice.
For the whole rest of gym class, Sango spent her time getting to know at least a little bit about each person; Rin Murisaki, Rae Murisaki, Jana May, Ayame Sasaiyaki, Kyo and Argent. Come to find out, she had some of the same classes with them, so she couldnt wait to spend the rest of her highschool life with people that she would actually fit in with.

Sango sat in the corner of her bed in the dark, holding her saimese neko;Kirara close to her. A thin blanket covered her legs which were brought up close to her chest. Only small lamp was turned on gave little warmth to the gloomy room.
Her parents were righting once again. Nothing new, nothing unfamilier, just the usual dispute about the household bills and such. All the yelling was giving the distressed girl a terrible headache. She didnt risk stepping out of her room for asprin. If she did, it is possible that she would be yelled at for interrupting. If Sango did fight back, her father would the chance in smacking her across the face. It has happened before. She was completly confident about the situation, but all hope of beleiving that maybe her father may change was thrown away, and ripped away from her. So Sango has learned to deal with her headaches.
"Meow..?" Kirara meowed, looking up at Sngo with a forlorn expression. Sango stroked her fingers behind her neko's big black ears, wanting to keep her calm. Quiet purring was sounded to the girls' ears.
"Dont worry Kirara---Everything will be okay in the end. I promise--" She wispered to her.

"Well what the hell are we gonna do?! Kohaku will be going to college in a few months! How are we gonna pay for him to get in?!" Sango's mother; Akira yelled at her husband.
Mr.Atsumi gave an exasperated groan and sigh of anger. "He has a scholarship for it! A free ride to college! Did you not get that little detail? Or were you too drunk to listen to your own son?! Oh and not only does he have a scholarship but he does have his own job. So he wont be bothering us for money!" He yelled back at her, stepping away.
*~*~*
'Why wont the fighting ever stop?! Why!?' Sango's mind screamed out. Clutching Kirara for comfort, she kept her eyes shut tight, attempting to hold the tears from falling.

Sango closed her locker shut, her books in one arm. She began walking down the hallway, across from her lay the huge bay windows. Deep caramel eyes swayed into the windows' dirrection. She gazed out into the courtyards where the beautiful Sakura trees were blooming. She adored the bright pink and white blossoms sleeping in the morning; resting to be awakened by the afternoon sun.
But being distarcted in the halls of Shiro Okami High---
*BAM!*
A young man evidently swung his locker door open on the unexpected girl. The locker had impacted with Sango's left side of her head on accident.
"Ahh!" She screamed out of shock, losing her footing and collapsing onto the marble floor. All of her books she carried were scattered on the floor. Some of the other students turned theirs heads to see what all the noise was coming from.
"Hey, are you alright?" The man that stood above her asked with concern in his voice. Sango seemed quite dazed from the impact, she couldnt exactly understand what the mysterious voice was saying to her.
"--Hm--?" She lifted her head up towards the male's voice catching sight of a hazy dark figure looming over her. She blinked a couple of times so that her vision became more clear.
Sango saw a man with creamy dark tan skin and jet black hair curled into a tiny ponytail in the back. The light from the ceiling shown brightly in his violetly blue eyes as he stared down at the girl.
"I said, are you alright--?" He asked the girl, slowly kneeling down to help her with gathering her belongings, without taking his eyes off of her. He was almost speechless just looking at her.
"Uh--I--Im fine." Sango stuttered, her face turning pink and she answered him. Staring into his eyes was almost unavoidable. They were do deep that she dare not move or blink.
"Thats good to hear." He flashed a toothy grin, and her eyes suddenly blinked from his shiny white teeth.
Sango smiled in return, trying not to show how embarased she was feeling. Although it was a little too late for that. He could already tell by her stuttering and the pink coloring on her delicate creamy face.
"Here, let me help you with your books." The man suggested, already reaching for some of her tectbooks. The timid girl did the same. There was an awkword silence between the two. Sango wasnt too sure what to say to him. Everything seemed to be happening to her all too fast, not to mention that her heart just wouldnt slow down its beating.
"Well, there you go." The violet eyeed student handed her her things with a reassuring grin. "Try to be careful next time, okay?" He told her rising to his feet with Sango following suit.
She nodded and answered. "Okay, I will. And thank you."
"its not problem."
"I better get going to class now." Sango's eyes seemed to sparkle as she observed him.
"Okay, see ya around then." He gave her one last charming smile and a wink then began down the hallway without even telling her his name.
"SANGO-CHAN!!" Screamed Rae from a distance running towards her with Jana following. Rae was one of those wild crazy and loud girls that literaly knows almost everyone in the whole school. An intelligent redhead that just wants to party and to hang with friends as much as possible.
"Oh, hey guys." Sango greeted them unsurly with some of the blush remaining on her face.
"We saw that Sango." Jana said with a smirk across her face.
Sango tried hard to keep her blushing face hidden and concealed from Rae and Jana, but it was useless. No matter what, they had already looked upon her rosey red cheeks.
"Saw what?" Sango asked, confused as to what to she was asking her. 'They couldnt have witnessed what happened to me earlier there---Could they?' She wondered, hoping that they hadnt.
"You know well what we are talking about. We saw what happened between you and that guy." Jana lightly smacked Sango playfully on her arm. Sango glanced over at Rae and saw that she was laughing uncontrolably.
"Hahahaha!! You ran into a locker! xd You are such a clutz!" Her laughter was causing her eyes to water she was coming close to crying.
"--Rae!" Sango ran after her into their first period class, with Jana following near behind them.
The three girls chased eachother about the classroom around the table in the center of the room. Others watched in slight annoyance as they sat at their desks.
This seemed to be almost a daily routine for the threee girls. Chasing after eachother every morning before the first bell would ring. And for the oddest reasons to.
"Get back here Rae!" Sango giggled as she was about to grab the other girls' arm. Yet she pivoted her feet and ran out of the way, Sango wasnt quite paying attention to where she was going. Her mind was too focused on running after her two friends, until she had noticed that she collided into somebody. Which that somebody happened to be the guy from earlier that morning.
"Ah!" Sango gasped loudly as she collided with him. He dropped his books with total surprise. Losing his balence the raven haired man hit the whiteboard with Sango clinging onto his black T-shirt unaware of anything.
"Uh--wow--" He said through a slight blush and smirk, scratching the back of his head.
Rae:......
eek .... lol
Jana:...... eek .... lol
Sango's eyes drifted upwords catching his gaze, her face changed quickly from the creamy white color with only a hint of tan, to a deep crimson of embarasment. She imediatly withdrew from him and stepped back a couple of feet.
"Uh---Gomennasai--" With disconcert, she dipped her head low, giving him a bow, hoping he would accept her apology.
"Um---There is no need to apologize. It's quite alright." He told her stepping away from the whiteboard. Sango slowly looked up at him and saw him smiling a bright charming smile toward her. Out of impulse, she stood up straight and returned the favor.
"---SANGO!!" Rae and Jana charged after her, dragging her by force to where they usually sit at.
"---Sango---WTF!?" Jana questioned speechless from what her and Rae both witnessed. Rae on the other hand, was laughing uncontrolable while literaly falling onto her desk. Sango was speechless as well, she didnt know how to respond to those two.
"WTF did we just see---" Rae asked between gasped of air.
"Uh---it was nothing--" She stuttered as her face turned pink once again. she sat down in her desk as Rae and Jana towered over her with their arms crossed in front of them.
"How can it be nothing, Sango? we saw you clinging onto him." Jana exclaimed rather loudly. Some of the fellow students turned their heads and starred.
And just then the bell had rung as their teacher; Mr.Fung stepped into the classroom. He looked rather dazed and as normal his tie was almost undone. He appeared as if he didnt notice it at all.
Mr.Fung halted his footsteps in front of his desk as he first took notice of the noew student sitting in a desk."
"Ah, I see the new student has arrived. Miroku Houshi, is it?" Mr.Fung asked setting a small stack of papers on his desk.
"Yes it is--" Miroku looked around the room feeling a million eyes gawking at him. Their mouths wide and eyes huge in awe. Alot of them were gasping and nearly screaming.
"OMFG! Look at the hottie!! blaugh " Soe of them squealed. Rae yet again was laughing and fell out of her desk anime style. Even she thought Miroku was pretty hot.
Miroku grinned at all the women. He stood out of his chair and flashed a charming smile. "Ohayo--Gozaimasu" He greeted in a deep voice and gave the class a bow. This got an even bigger reaction from the female population in the class.
Sango glanced at Miroku who sat all the way across the room, to find him gently smiling at her. The girl couldnt help but blush, but she turned away imediatly.
'Why do i feel like this is going to be one hell of a year--?'
