God, I feel like all I talk about is how bored I am, like all I think about is how bored I am.
Sigh, I guess I should just ramble and get it over with, heh.
So, I've been randomly thinking lately (small wonder, that.) And I came up with something for once.
Now, mind you, this is not an idea that I support, endorse, or even enjoyed contemplating, but I thought of a method that WOULD eliminate genetic diseases. You know, certain types of cancer, other junk like that.
Simply put, the quickest, most effective (in my opinion, as much as I dislike it) way of eradicating these...defects, I suppose one could say...is to simply NOT treat them, rather to disallow the ones afflicted with such from producing children.
Now, this process has it's faults, of course. "How do you propose to prevent THAT many people from breeding?" Is a rather obvious one, one that I have a pretty simple answer for. Fact is, you don't HAVE to prevent all of those people from reproducing, if you can get most of these people, it still works, only more slowly.
I suppose further that this could be used for the elimination of allergies even, as extreme as that would be. Of course, this is all just as silly as it would be effective.
Heh, now THIS is something I fully and totally expect to get my first hate mail/letters/PMs/comments about. Hopefully, people will actually READ this, and not just skim over it and proceed to flame it. While on this subject, anyone who takes me seriously needs a few air holes drilled in their head.
I'm not kidding about the "anyone who takes me seriously" part, if you do, you need immediate medical attention, stat. Don't bother with your normal doctor, get to a freaking E.R.
