Entry 2: The Sad Truth.

And so, I was off to Tibet. The interview was still in the back of mind... I was hoping they would leave the job open for me, despite my absence, yet the thought of finally capturing a glimpse of that cone-headed, shaggy, and rather foul-smelling cryptid, made my heart race. Finally, the scientific community would believe me that they really do exist!

Before I left I told my assistants to contact me in anyway if anything came up. I don't know... I just had this strange feeling about all this... The plane ride was long an nauseating and it was cold bitterly cold. Still, proof of the yeti's existance would be all worth it. If I could just get a picture or, even better, a strand of hair!

I arrived at the tiny town. It was a small little village covered in snow. Many a home did not even have electricity. It was as though time had stopped for them. I was expecting that someone would be waiting for me, but I was wrong... horribly, horribly wrong...

The locals told me that no one had spotted a Yeti in over 5 years! What was worse was that no one in the village had Internet access!

How ...How could this be?! Was this all a hoax?!

I was devastated and confused... what kind of monster could have done this to me? If this was the culprit's idea of a joke, they're sense of humor was indeed twisted and malformed.

How can I get in contact with my crew?

I thought all hope was lost for this fabricated mission until one local told me that a crew from National Gaia Geographic was up in the mountains looking for the elusive snow leopards that prowled the area. With those simple words, all hope within me was restored, for they must have a way to get in contact with the state! So, I joined them immediately. I quickly called my assistants in hopes of hearing good news.

It would have seem the that luck no longer favored me...

They told me one of the worst things I have ever heard in all my years: that SHE... SHE had gotten the job as host of the EI show! I was beyond furious! Suddenly, it all made sense. I knew that e-mail address looked somewhat familiar. My conquest for discovery had clouded my vision, but I never thought she would sink that low. To send me to Tibet over a televison show was ludicrous!

In my rage, I told my assistants to start researching as many EIs as possible and create their own reports. I wouldn't be able to leave Tibet until May. I prayed that the three of them could handle the pressure...
