Upon my return from Ichiban, I unexpectedly caught sight of none other than Zenigata Keibu at the corner of [address withheld] and [address withheld], bereft of his trench-coat and fedora and appearing worse for wear. I will make no assumptions as to how this came to be, nor will I resent his presence. It is time at last to shake off my idleness; I do so gladly.
Upon recognizing me by my gi (this would not be reason enough to replace them), Zenigata Keibu exposed my identity to a rather indifferent throng of people awaiting the mid-morning bus. Having had the advantage of foresight, if it can be so considered, I had known better than to wait for him to come at me and was already half-way down the street before he gave chase. I evaded capture easily this time, though I must not take this as an invitation to be lax in my vigilance.
I meant to inform Lupin of this chance encounter, but I had the sense, upon returning home and being greeted with a knowing smile, that he was already well aware of the situation.
