Tensie sat by herself on an old bridge in the forest. behind her was the unnatural waterfall that was built to keep water from flooding the suburban areas. the pond below was practically frozen, it always was and always will be. she thought of the things that transpired that day, what the students and teachers had said. a tear dripped from her chin. "God, why" she cried. "why did you give me this life?" she rubbed the bruise her father gave her. "Jump!" a voice said sounding as if he wanted to see her drown. Tensie was strong she turned to the source of the voice. she stumbled for a second, his face was very plane but she felt something. there stood a boy about her age wearing a black swimming suit with platinum blond hair so long she couldn't see his eyes. "excuse me?" she asked. The boy grew a smile, "well your always here but you never swim," he said. "just jump." "Are you crazy that pond is frozen!" He laughed at that. he stepped of the bridge. Tenshie's face filled with horror as she heard the boy sink into the water. she watched the pond for a few minutes in silence. then, he burst from the water splashing her as he flew. Angrily she pushed him back into the pond.
Koumori fought a great battle in his dreams, fighting the evil that took his father. the darkness around him attacked with great force, but it was no match for his sword. blood spread across hiss dreams. the battle was won. there were footsteps behind him, "Back for more, eh?" he asked. he drew his sword, the footsteps grew faster. his sword hit the bottom of his unconscious mind, his lips locked with hers. she was Hana. "so watcha dreaming about tonight kumi" she said with a wink. koumori grew silent, "why aren't you answering me are you dreaming about another woman!" koumori was to shocked to say anything. "Is there something you should be telling me." koumori opened his mouth to talk, "no of course not," he said. "its just, just go have your own dream Hana." Hana glared at him, "fine ill see you in the morning then." she left his brain in silence. he awoke in the middle of the night, it was raining and he could hear someone walking down the hallways of the school. he got up and put on his pants and his shirt and rapped belts around his eyes, hiding their power from the rest of the world. Koumori was blind, he always had been, but he had a sense of where things are, silent echolocation is what the doctors had called it. Every breath he took or step he walked sound waves would tell him where things were, and where he was. he walked down the hallway as he placed something into his pocket. he approached Hana's room, she was up and making herself something to eat. "i was wondering when you'd show up" the woman said not turning around. "Hana," koumori said slowly. "will you marry me?" Hana tuned around and looked at the large rock placed in front of her. "yea! but only for the diamond!" Hana remarked. "I was expecting something better than sarcasm!" Koumori yelled. What do you expect! I can read minds and you've had that question in your head since the first day we met." she replied. "and what was your answer then?" Koumori asked. "yes." Hana answered seriously. Koumori leaned in towards Hana, they looked into each others eyes. Suddenly a shadow moved, koumori motioned Hana to stand behind him. "who's in here" he asked. A large man in a Hawaiian shirt stepped into the light his face still half shadowed, he began to speak. "So sorry to disturb this heart warming moment, but you are kneaded at the front gate koumori." "thank you master Fugu, i will be on my way." Koumori said as he left the room. "Fugu," Hana began as she read his thoughts. "why are you still here?" Fugu stepped out of the shadows. Hana stepped back at the sight of Fugu. Half of Fugu's face was ripped and deteriorating. the right half of his teath had turned into fangs, and his eye, his eye was no longer a human eye, it gleamed brightly in the shadowed room, on his face was the eye of a rat. "poor Hana, so mistrusting!" He hissed.
Several doors down another restless sleeper was tossing and turning in bed. little glimpses of her former life, her five year old birthday party, the people the presents, the cake. someone flashed a camera, then darkness. Screams, all around her. animals, a fox or a wolf, making noise, the darkness went away, red everywhere on her hands, in her mouth. she cried, she awoke. Kitsune awoke with a scream, she waited a few minutes and realized it could have bean hers. she sat up, looked around and coughed. Then he appeared, the fox she could only see, the entity that clouded her past. it walked over too her. "Trouble sleeping?" it asked.
