A co-worker, a guide, a friend. That was who she was to her. Selena's friend, Kristy, had just died. Alli, Adam, and Ted had their own ways of coping but never saw Selena cry. Their boss, Leo, came up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. He could tell she was taking it harder then anyone else, even though she wasn't there when Kristy was shot. Selena had learned from her old job to cry was a weakness; you gotta suck it up and move on or deal with it on your own. Here, she was beginning to understand it was ok to let her emotions out. She stared out at the empty desk that Kristy had sat at not hours before. She leaned down, set her head in her lap and cried. She felt Leo's comforting arms wrap around her but she didn't care. Ted and Adam watched and for the first time saw Selena cry. The director stood and the landing and watched down into the office area and watched the events going on underneath her.
Thoughts? Critique? Feedback? I'd like to hear something.
