Crawling, creeping
Never sleeping
We are the demons that haunt your dreams
The monsters that cause all those pained screams
The shadows in the alley
The devils in the valley
The ghouls in the cemetery
The ghosts in the mortuary
The groaning, moaning, walking dead
That creature beneath your bed
We consume hatred, loathing, fear,
Of the many cries that we hear
The bloodied pan, the spirit within that haunted fan,
The specter of the poor, forgotten, murdered man
For we are the creatures of the night,
Hear our cry and run in fright,
The creatures you thought once were just fancy
Have just sneaked in and murdered your fiancée
That unusual phantom in the basement,
You shall soon be its replacement
The irregular splotch on the ceiling,
Gives you such a abysmal feeling
And you wonder how – just how?–
Does that fortune begins to bother you now
That one you had told,
So far, so long ago –
Just how, how old? –
You can hear Death beckoning Hello
