I just got off the phone. With Angel. I had been trying to text him for the last three weeks (turns out that he turned his phone off after Jose broke up with him).
So we got on the subject of magick. It turns out that Sarah only took the memories of what she taught him. So he still remembers what he taught himself; how he first got into magick, becoming wicca, etc. But nothing that he learned since training with Sarah.
And I asked him what he wanted to do. I was straightforward and asked him if he wanted to learn about the world how it should be known; if he wanted to know the truth about spirits, realms, magick, etc. Because that's what I wanted him to do, was learn magick again. And I left it completely up to him, and I didn't sway him one way or the other.
And he decided that he wanted to stay knowing what he knows, and not try to get any deeper.
And I'm respecting that. I'm not going to push it on him. It makes me sad, but that's his decision. So we'll leave the memories, and we'll leave magick where it lies for him. I know the direction I'm heading, and it doesn't mean we can't still be friends. I'll always be here for him. We'll always be friends. He made his decision, and I promised that I would respect that. It's just... really hard for me.
