Or Treesinger. That's what the trees call me now.
Tonight, we went to my stepmom's parent's house. And they have a bit of property in back behind their house, where they keep four horses. So I was sitting on the back porch, staring up at the night sky and watching the stars show up. Thinkin' about stuff. And I could feel all this energy swirling around me, and I got really quiet, and really peaceful. And I just felt the urge to go see the horses.
So I get up, and I just start walking back there. And the only thoughts on my mind are the earth, and the horses. And so I go back there, just stepping really lightly, brushing my hand along the trees as I go, and I get to the stables. The horses were in their outside pens, so I was able to go see them. I went up to each one, and let them smell me like they like to do (Tuff tried to bite me xp ), and I said hi. Only I didn't use any words. I just felt like I was connecting with them somehow, and I didn't need to use words. And I stood there for a while, looking around at the trees and wishing I could hear the Earth sing again. And Ellie (Apparently her real name is Miralou. She sort of told me, I guess; same way A'llou'en told me his name.) was just smellin' my hands. And I stopped everything, and Miralou looked at me, and then the Earth started singing again. And I could hear it, and I wanted to sing too. And then I was singing. That same wordless ethereal type of melody. Just right at my octave, so I wouldn't go too high or too low, so that my voice wouldn't crack. Just... right there. And I closed my eyes, and I smiled and sang with all my heart, and then I started to move my feet a bit. And Miralou just stared right at me the whole time; I'd never seen her be so still. She just stood there, staring at me. Watching. And listening to me sing. But then Cathy called me back to the house for dinner, so I had to go back.
After I ate, I went back to the horses. I said hi without words to them all again, and I went back to stand where I was. And the Earth was still singing, so I sang too. Only this time, I didn't start out singing. I started out whispering. Whispering words that I didn't understand. They were sort of... I don't know. It was just something... so... there. The words... I whispered, and I started to dance. Really slowly at first. But I didn't even think about stopping. I went on, and I whispered, and I danced. And then my voice rose past the whispers, and I was singing the melody again, and dancing to it. It was like a chant; I actually was chanting at some parts. I don't understand it. I was singing and dancing by the light of the stars, and this time not just Miralou was watching me. All four of the horses had stopped and were listening and watching me. It was almost unsettling if I hadn't been so absorbed in the dance. And then I wasn't even in control anymore. I wasn't me anymore. Still there, but it was like when a spirit takes over my body; I was in the back seat. And my arms started to shape the energy around me, swirling it, drawing the signs of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars, with me at the center. And then I drew the same symbols on my forehead, and it was sort of green.Like, I got an impression of the writing showing up like a green color on my forehead. And then I could hear the song fading; like I could feel that it was coming to a close. And my arms swept to the sides, and then slowly moved inward, and stopped at about belly-height, with my hands shaped like I was holding a ball, and there was this little mass of energy in my hands. And I heard some words then:
A blessing from the Earth, Treesinger. Put it to your heart.
So I held the little ball up to my heart and pulled it into it. And the energy sort of swirled for a bit, and then it wrapped itself around my heart, and then it... the only way I can describe it is by the image I got. I got this image of this forest green color wrapping around my heart and then... taking root? Like it covered my heart with earth or something; roots and vines and rich soil... that's just the image I got. And then I heard more words:
Let us help your garden grow...
And I felt the energy... it didn't change from around my heart, but I could feel it... and see another image... it was making my soul garden more fertile; it was making it stronger; like it was about to burst into bloom at any second. I could just feel it; it was right on the brink of spurring into this huge garden, with rich plants and everything. And then I heard even more words:
You must come dance with us again, Earthsinger. We like having you.
And then that one big voice faded. And so I said goodbye to the horses, without words, and I walked back to the house. And along the way, all the trees were being really happy, sending me images of what they could see of me dancing based on where they were, and they kept referring to me as either Earthsinger or Treesinger when I walked by. I actually stopped and talked to one of the trees, and he was very friendly. I forgot to ask his name, though. emo
But he smiled and said that even where he was (he was pretty close to the house) he could hear me sing, and he liked it. And I laughed when he called me Treesinger, and he said that that's what I was. He didn't elaborate, and I didn't push it. I was just enjoying the moment. And then I said I liked him, and asked if he would like a hug. And he said yes, that would be nice. So I wrapped my arms around him, and I smiled and rested my head against him, and he sent me an image of this... tree nymph guy leaning forward and hugging me back. Like the tree's spirit or something. Nettie, he remembered when you and I went back to walk among the trees that time ago! He smiled and said that I was returning to retrace my steps, and re-commune. I didn't ask him to elaborate on that either. And I said my goodnight to him, and he said "Visit more often, Treesinger! We enjoy your company."
And then I went inside, just contemplating everything. And then I came home. ^.^
