In the climbing city of Romi, Flops was lounging the living room of her apartment. It was about 9:30 pm and her favorite show was on. It was pitch black outside. Another storm was coming. Flops glanced at the window for a second and got up, closing the curtains and making sure the windows were locked. She sat back down and covered herself with a blanket. The show she was watching was one of those cheap horror films, like, "attack of the bats!" or, "Crows" and what nonsense. About to the part where the protagonists rebelled against the threat, the television flickered. It came back on with one of those service weather announcements, warning about the coming storm. Flops turned off the television and went into the kitchen for a drink. As soon as she opened the refrigerator the power went out. "Son of a..." She mumbled to herself. she looked in the drawer next to her and pulled out a flashlight. This was the third time just a month that there was a storm like this! She looked outside her apartment and it was silent. she heard a high-pitched beep. it lasted about 3 seconds and there was a red light on her television. she walked into the living room and sat back down on the couch, pulling out a book from under her and started to read it.soon after she started to read she fell asleep. About fifteen minutes after she dozed off there was a loud crash from outside, and a booming knock on her door. She awoke with a startle and ran to the door, and peeked out of the peep-hole. There was no one there. She started walking back to the couch and there was another loud bang on the door, this one was more violent. she spun around and peeked outside again. She saw a red lazer. She gasped, but covered her mouth with her hand as fast as she had inhaled. she started to her bedroom and the door can crashing down. people in solid black uniforms and masks bombarded her apartment. she ran into the bathroom, hoping they wouldn't find her, but as soon as she passed a door a rough hand grabbed her arm and drug her from her little makeshift sanctuary. Screaming and yelling for the intruders to let her go, A lazer went over her body, to her arm and a dart was forced into her arm. She fainted, and was never seen again.
