Signs of a Hero
Anne had convinced me to go with here to the mall with our friends, not an easy feat on her part. Not being much of a socialite, I was loathe to go to such a public place like the mall. Ah well, whats the worst that can happen. Its not like our little group attracted much attention. Guess I'm just paranoid.
I met up with Paul and Rose at the park, and we started biking to the mall 2 miles away. When we got there, I only saw Anne and Sam. David had bailed.
"So... where's David?" I asked.
"Apparently his parents grounded him this morning for sneaking out," Anne replied.
"Great. So its just the five us then?"
"Yup." 3nodding
"Then let's get this over with..."
"Hey Cameron, stop complaining. We haven't really done anything as a group for awhile so just suck it up and have fun," interjected Paul. "Why are you complaining about a chance to buy something anyways? You've been talking about getting your mom something for Mother's day and this is the perfect chance!"
"Eh, what can I say, I just like complaining. So, Rose, where to first?"
"Well..." began Rose, "We'll start at the games store, and then we'll work our way to the food court for lunch. After that we'll go to over to the clothing section and..."
Great. Clothing shopping with the girls. Now I remember why I didn't want to come. "... and then we should split up and go look for Mother's Day gifts!"
"Alright, sounds like a plan. Let's move out guys!" shouted Paul.
And with that we stepped into the Las Vegas mall. As Rose had suggested, we headed to the games store first and spent about an hour browsing the different games. Paul even bought a game, SSX 3. After that we made our way towards the food court and had our lunch. Most of us got pizza, but Anne decided she would get sushi. Yuck. I'll never understand how people can eat raw fish.
"How can you stand to eat that stuff Anne?" I queried.
"Easy, it tastes good! Especially with soy sauce!" she replied.
"I'm with you Cameron; I can't stand sushi. Too cold and wet.," interjected Paul.
"Well I don't care what you idiots think. Sushi is fantastic food."
