I guess it must be "That Time" for my man period because I just looked at Subliminal Message's and at all of the comments he gets about how good looking he is. Naturally, being my lame time where I'm totally insecure in myself, I feel like a dejected, hideous thing right now because damn near everyone I know is better looking than I am. The worst part is that the only people I can think of who I'm more attractive than are my slovenly dressed patronage at EB. How sad is it when you're only attractive when compared to fat, horrifying video gamers whose closest contact with a woman was last night when they licked the screen capture of a female Everquest mage?
In other news, I think I'm basically done with GAIA. Nothing I do helps the site and I work too much to try and enjoy this place when I'm not spending time with Monica or playing World of Warcraft. So...Later.

You are almost as bad as the very people you criticize in your signature. You contend that they place too much emphasize on trying to be "cool," but I would argue that you, sir, are do the very same thing by assuming a cold, distanced disposition.
The purpose of Gaia is to have fun. Now, having said that, if you believe that decrying the state of the site and debasing those who produce such a condition with haughty language is fun, then you go ahead and continue with what you are doing. Otherwise, I believe you are investing too much emotion into a cause that is not worth the effort.
I understand your frustration but I think you need to just chill for a bit and re-evaluate your reasons for coming to this site. Isn't there something that you like about it here? You cannot tell me that there is nothing that attracts you to this site, for if that were the case you would not have even voiced your opinion in this journal. Whether you admit it or not, you want attention and concurrence just as much as the next Gaian. You want your views validated.
Well, I'm telling you that I agree but that I personally don't care anymore. I accept that I can't change the nature of idiots and that I can still enjoy myself. So loosen up a little and live life! I promise you, it's much more fun to be amused than to be irritated by the ignorance and stupidity of others. biggrin
