Well, really, it's 45 minutes away, but I'm in California. We're the last people to get in the new year besides Hawaii. And maybe Alaska, but I'm not sure if they have their own time zone or not.
But anyway. 2008.
The middle of this year sucked a**. But don't ask why (please), it was kind of painful for some dear friends of mine. I got really good at writing, and my drawing skills got much much better.
So overall, it wasn't bad. It's just like any other year, and the hadron collider didn't create a giant black hole and kill us all, so that's good.
There weren't any amazing movies towards the end of it, but Wall-E and The Dark Knight were to die for. Oh and speaking of The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger died. Which is sad, since he was the best joker ever.
I also realized that I freaking OWN at role-playing without god-modding.
Also, people who are obsessed with Pokemon can be very very annoying, especially when you're not the same way *sigh*
But overall, it wasn't bad. We got a new president (FINALLY), and gay mairage was banned in California (don't even get me started on that), and there was a bunch of talk about the bible. Did anyone else notice that? Atheists were paying more attention to the bible than ever trying to disprove Catholics (and other Christians) who said that it didn't allow gay marriage. Wouldn't it be great is Jesus was gay? He didn't get married after all. That would be hilarious xd
Oh, speaking of Catholics, I realized I'm not one xd
Although I think I can blame Brady for that.
