Well besides going back to work, I've been nursing a wound that I stupidly got on Tuesday last week. I was helping my mom clean and season a turkey that she was gonna make for X-mas Eve dinner.
You know how most turkeys come with a string wrapped around the legs so they are sticking together? Yeah, well our turkey had to be "fancy" (for lack of a better word) and instead of string it was some kind of metal wire. My mom was trying to pull the wire out but she has a bad hand and could not do it, so I offered to help her. Bad idea, should've let one of my brothers do it. Anyways, I grabbed the stupid wire with one hand and the turkey with the other, but when I pulled the wire out it ripped the skin of my left hand from the palm all the way to my forearm >__<
On Thanxzgiving my mom got her arm burned on the oven when she was trying to get the turkey out. I swear Turkeys are cursed!!! Next year we're eating ham or something!!
Now I just have to find a decent explanation to all the people who keep looking at my arm and wondering if I'm a suicide attempt victim or something. Honestly, can't they think of something else first besides the idea that I was trying to off myself?!?
On a positive note: there was no blood in the turkey so everyone was able to enjoy it! xp
