Ryu jumped up and flipped back in his chair"Oww.."He rubbed the back of his head as he looked at the teacher.
Ranmaru was in the backyard setting up for the party later on."Wonder how many people will show up"He climbed up a tree and started putting up streamers so if any little kids came.
While he was putting it up he tripped on one of the streamers and slipped out of the tree."Stupid tree"Ranmaru was about to get up but then the branch he slipped off fell on his head.
Ranmaru growled and got up holding the branch in his hand"I HATE TREES"He threw the branch at the tree and turned around,but just as turned around a stick broke off the branch and hit him in the back of the head.
He fell to the ground and turned over on his back looking up at the sky. "Kyo.."
"Ugh..where am I..and why does my head hurt.." A mysterious voice talked within the other world.
Ryu had got done with school and started walking back home"Sure hope Ranmaru forgot about my birthday hits"He sighed knowing that he wouldn't.
Ranmaru came back outside and closed the door behind him.There were about 30people out there with him."Alright everyone,Ryu will be here in a couple of minutes"He told everyone to hide as he went back inside to hide.
Ryu sighed as he walked up the front door of the house.In his head he pictured Ranmaru torturing him as soon as he walked in."Well,might as well get it over with"He opened the door and walked in.
He was surprised that he wasn't hit as soon as he walked in the house"He must not be here yet,thats a relief"Ryu let out a sigh but stood still seeing after seeing a knife go in the wall.
His eye twitched looking at the knife.The direction it was thrown came from behind him,Ryu slowly turned around.
Ranmaru had set a trap before so he was actually under the table.Ryu sighed out of relief knowing that Ranmaru wasn't behind him"I have got to relax"
He walked over to the table but was pulled down on the floor when Ranmaru grabbed his leg."Hey kid"Ryu's heart had started to beat fast,he probably would have screamed if Ranmaru had waited to do it.
Ranmaru stood up and patted Ryu on the head."I'm not a little kid anymore"Ryu stood up and glared at Ranmaru.
After awhile Ryu and Ranmaru started the party in the backyard.While he was left alone he slipped a laxitive into a cup he though was Ranmaru's "This oughta teach him to mess with me" Ranmaru walked over to Ryu"Why are you by yourself birthday boy"
Ryu blinked"Uh..no reason,why don't you drink something"He picked up the cup that had the laxitive in it and gave it to Ranmaru.
Ranmaru was about to drink it until one of Ryu's friends came by and took the cup"Thanks old man"He started to drink it"I'm not an old man"Ranmaru growled and glared at Ryu.
Ryu's eye twitched again as he watched his friend drink all the juice in the cup.Ryu's friend started hopping around and running in circles"H-hey Ryu..where the bathroom"
Ryu told him and he ran to the bathroom.Ranmaru looked at Ryu"Again with the laxitives,huh"
Ryu laughed nervously"I..didn't do it!!"He was getting ready to run but couldn't because Ranmaru grabbed the back of his shirt.
Ryu had got done unwrapping his presents and looked at Ranmaru"What are you lookin at me for"Ryu stared at him"Wheres my present"Ranmaru turned his head away from Ryu"I don't know what your talking about"
Ranmaru quickly turned around after senseing a demon heading for the area they were in.Ryu looked at Ranmaru and knew what he was thinking.He stayed calm so that way nobody was alarmed.
Ranmaru sighed as the presence went away. "Wonder what that could have been"
Ryu sighed as well"Ryu.."Ryu looked around after hearing someone call his name,but no one around him had said anything to him.
Ranmaru looked at Ryu alittle wondering what he was doing."Ranmaru.."Ranmaru looked around trying to see who called his name.
Both him and Ryu looked up at the sky.While they did so they were both hit in the forehead with pinecones.
"Ow"Ryu and Ranmaru said it at the same time and that made eveyone laugh.
Ryu grabbed a lighter and lit it making a cloud of smoke come up."Ryu what the heck did you do"Ranmaru growled at him as his eyes started to get watery.
"Nothing.."Ryu wiped his eyes after having to much smoke near them.
When the smoke started to clear Ryu and Ranmaru saw someone sitting in a tree.The person jumped down from the tree and stood there.
Both Ryu and Ranmaru were silent and still.Ryu's hands started to shake as he took a step closer to the person with tears in his eyes.
Ranmaru didnt move from his spot.He thought he was just imaging things like all the other times.
"Mo-mother"Ryu spoke in a weak voice trying not to cry."Its really you"He shook his head and ran to her hugging her close.
Ranmaru watched him hugged her. "Kyo..is that really you" Ranmaru walked in the house and can back out with a frying pan.He threw it at Ryu and the person.
The person pushed Ryu out of the way and was hit in the head with the pan."Why the heck did you throw a freakin pan at me!?"The person stood up and glared at Ranmaru.
"It really is you"Ranmaru slowly started to walk over to her"Kyo.."She smiled at Ranmaru then looked down at Ryu"You sure have gotten bigger"
Ryu quickly stood up and looked at her.He wasn't all that sure about what he should do.
"Its alright Ryu..I came back"Kyo hugged Ryu close to her.He hugged her back tightly"Mother.."
Ranmaru walked over to them and smiled."It seems as if Ranmaru took very good care of you"Ryu nodded his head as he kept it near her neck not wanting to let go of her.
Kyo patted Ryu on the head.Ryu released her from the hug.When she was released she ran over to Ranmaru and hugged him tight"Thank you"
Ranmaru started to blush"Fo-for what?"Kyo looked up at Ranmaru.
Everyone else just watched them not really sure what was happening,they all thought that Ryu's mother had died.
"I came back..I didn't want to live without you two..I wanted to live with both of you"Kyo's hands started to shake as he hung her head down.
Ranmaru put his hand under her chin and lifter her head up.He kissed her while holing her close.
Ryu smiled at them both and walked over to Kyo"I'm glad you came back mother"Kyo pulled on Ryu's ear and kissed his forehead.
"How did you come back..or even get back"Ranmaru looked at Kyo.
"I broke through the gate..I didn't want you two to be alone without me"She smiled alittle and faced Ryu"Happy birthday,I'm sorry I couldn't get you a present"
Ryu hugged Kyo"Mother..I would consider you my present"He laughed alittle.
Kyo turned around and faced everybody"Well then,I guess we should continue with this.Everyones so quiet."
Everyone laughed and shouted while they laughed.
Once the party was over,Ryu had taken a picture of Kyo and Ranmaru without them knowing.He set it down on the table next to the one he took with Kyo awhile back.
