Legends spoke of the deathly kitsune youkai, living in mounts and deep valleys, pranking and laughing at the expenses of the poor men who dared walking into their territories, joking and kidding around their lives, living out of their excitement.
Where the foxes would play, no human dared to come near, no animal unless equally gifted and cursed, so was the fear of the kitsune…
But at the same time humans couldn't stay away –because so much was the allure of the power, the beauty, the irresistible need to see with their eyes, and believe, and feel.
So strong was the terror, but so was its allure.
Kitsune that were said to transform into humans, only to lure and kidnap those who would see them
Kitsune that were said to trick the villagers to follow them until they got lost, their soul leaving their bodies in fear
They were loved as happy, playful creatures, dancing on the tunes of Nature, peaceful if not attacked, if not angered…
But all the same, kitsune were despised. Despised because they could not determine the good and the bad –tricking until there was no need to, playing until it was no longer accepted to
Kitsune that were said to rule time, and space –able to recognise every line and its possible futures, unable to predict, only to observe as it was chosen.
But they could not give advice, and unable to warn, not trusted by humans they were despised because, for their tricks, they could offer no reliance, they were left to their play…
