Hawk hasn't come back yet, I wonder what's holding him up? I pondered this for a while as I tried to keep the fire strong. I tossed in some more drywood and poked the fire. Was Hawk okay? Had something happened? These thoughts plagued my mind and I began to worry. He was gone for hours now. Why wasn't he still back?

HAWK

Hawk flapped his wings as hard as he could. The Flyboys were chasing him, and he cursed Itex for making their stamina infinite. He had hoped to lose them in a headwind, but it had unaffected them. He knew that he couldn't go back to the cave where everyone else was, or he would be dooming them as well. His breath was getting harsh, and he knew that he would have to either face them or take a breather and let them capture or kill him.

He turned around and swung his left arm at a nearby Flyboy and it was down for the count. He did a roundhouse kick at the base of another Flyboy's spine where they were the most vulnerable, and it was down. But Hawk knew that their numbers were too great, and he would run out of energy pretty soon.

I had had enough. I was going to go and find him, whether he needed me or not. I told Jason (Who was the same age as me and Hawk) to keep watch while I searched for Hawk, and he nodded. I took a deep breath, and had a running start before jumping off the cliff ledge and unfurling my white and brown-spotted wings.

I flapped them to gain altitude, and I used my raptor-vision to see out Hawk. I saw a smudge off in the north-northeast, and decided to check it out. As I got closer, I could see that they were Flyboys, and they were attacking... Hawk!
