Welcome to the depths known as my brain
an eye for an eye
Ancient egypt and rome believed in a simple philosephy: an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. While punishments back then were very brutal and savage, they did show that balance could be a key factor in law. Lets say a man robbed a bank. Well back then the typical punishment for such a conviction would be the decapitation of your dominant hand. While it might seem cruel, the punishment was the equal and opposite reaction to the robbery. Could it be that Isaac Newton's third law of motion has some connection to the punishments in ancient times?? Think about it??
