So my prompt for this month's literary magazine meeting was write about a time where you were trully thankful. (It doesn't actually have to be you.) So mine is a poem, obviously, and a slightly depressing one at that, obviously. Only I can make a poem about being thankful, depressing.....So here it is.
Wailing inside,
Listening to them speak,
She cried to hear the words,
Rest in peace,
He wouldn't be there,
Sure he'd rest,
But what would happen to her,
The one that was left?
So three years later,
And he's still gone,
But instead of being bitter,
She's moved on,
She's realized that their time together,
Was more than she could hope,
And instead of only wanting him back,
She's cherishing the memory instead,
And now she's not sad,
She has begun to understand,
That they're time together,
Was the best she's ever had,
And thankful for that joy that he brought her,
And the moments they shared,
Thankful for their love together,
Even if its gone for now.

...My page to write whatever...
This is my page in which I write whatever I feel like writing, (as stated in title) this may consist of poems, random sayings, stories, and other things along those lines.
In my head I am trully safe,
In my thoughts my one escape,
In my dreams my hopes I see,
In my soul I am free,
Myself is safe haven,
Where I shall never be judged,
Myself is my fortress,
Were none may come...
In my thoughts my one escape,
In my dreams my hopes I see,
In my soul I am free,
Myself is safe haven,
Where I shall never be judged,
Myself is my fortress,
Were none may come...
