My lemon bars turned out delicious (like they wouldn't!), but they'll taste especially good in a couple of days (just in time for mom's B-day!) Something about the juices getting absorbed or setting or something. I don't really know or care. Point is they're good.

Got to talk to Jeff (aka my hottie and yes, he is apparently doomed to be called that). I was all nervous the first time he called me and told him I had to make lemon bars and that he could call me in an hour or so. Turned out we were outta flour, so I got to talk to him (after I'd sat down and got away from my dad) and it was really nice. We talked about band and books and his girlfriend and his friends and Opal and Color Guard and I'm pretty sure I might have a boyfriend in a couple of days. He wants to hang out next weekend. If we have Saturday practice, I swear I'm ditching it. I am going to hang out with him if I have to walk there. Thinking of going to the movies. Opal, you are cordially invited to a double date.
