The Life and Times of a Longshot
I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support. - Anne Frank; June 12, 1942
We're Just Too Young for Love
I don't understand why some of my classmates would take love so seriously, seriously enough that they begin to hurt themselves: emotionally, and sometimes, physically. Just earlier, at school, one of my classmates came to me and complained about this guy who knows that she loves him, but he continues to push her away, probably because he doesn't love her back. Devastated, she sings sad love songs to herself, which I found weird.

I happen to be in close terms with the guy, primarily because he's a guy, and 75% of my friends are guys. Although he's fond of jokes, he's pretty decent, and most of the girls in class have crushes on him. But he seems to be interested in only one girl, and it wasn't my heartbroken classmate. I understand why he doesn't like her back, though. Probably because she's being too dang emotional about all of it, and when she's not, she'd always call him or talk to him even if she doesn't have anything to say or it wasn't even necessary.

Sigh... seriously, kids my age shouldn't make a career out of getting their hearts broken. I can't believe I'm saying this, but we're just too young for love. And don't even say you KNOW what true love means. Just because you're attracted to someone, it doesn't mean it's already love. Honestly, I don't agree with people who say, "I love you and I'm ready to die for you." Choose wisely, and gradually you'll forget what heartache means.
