As I rush into the night, my heart is hoping he is not catching up. I could hear his footsteps, but I dare not look back. I knew if I looked back and he was behind me, I would be caught or fall and be caught. My best friend is probably sooooo worried that if she was the one running, she would be happy, to say the least. I was getting tired now, but I could still hear him, and I can't just rush home until he is gone, because then he would know where I lived. Then millions of things started rushing to my head, along with a headache:
-What if I don't make it back???
-If I'm caught, how will my friends feel??
Those were the biggest ones yet. I swallowed a lump in my throat and thought, Nah, I'll make it back...
