Back in Arcadia Leyli was exploring her new home. A small cottage deep in the Mad Forset. The outside was covered in Ivy vines. They intertwined each other all the way up to the roof. On the inside the walls were line with shelves for books. Upon entering to her right was a kitchen. To her left there was a stricase leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. she stared in awe of her new hime. and the two handsome men who helped her get there. she embraced them in hugs. Kissing Abysey and Victor on the cheek. Victor's faced flushed crimson at the kiss. he turned away. Abysey on the other hand went and threw himself on her couch. he sighed.
"There is one catch to this house Leyli." he said looking at her.
Grumbling she turned to him "What is it?" She chocked out.
"Well you see your father has vampires in this forest and towns people don't come in here. so when you go to buy food there will be rumors spreading. be prepared. You'll be branded as a demon." Said Abysey staring at her reaction.
Leyli waved her hand "Thats not a problem i'm used to that from the prison I was in." Turning to the stairs she ran up them. Appearing on the upper level she went from room to room, though there was only five doors on the floor. She went to them all. The first door on the right was a bedroom. It had a sit-in window that you could open up. She grinned knowing this would be her room. Going into the other bedroom across the hall it showed her nothing worth noting. "Perhaps a guest room." she said to herself. Going down the rest of the hall there was a bathroom witha shower in it. The other two doors were closets.
Going back downstaris she saw that both Victor and Abysey were knocked out asleep. She smiled a the two and knew they would want food when they woke. Decideding to make them something she crept over to Victor and picked his pockets finding some money.
Leaving a qucik note explaining were she was going she left the house and having a great sense of direction turned to the right. She could tell through the dense trees that it was still daytime. 'Good she thought all the better to avoid those night time leeches.' she walked through the forest noticing a spot that would be great to meditate in. she metally noted a lot of things as she walked.
When she reached the edge of the forest she could see the town ahead of her. Grinning she stepped out from behind the trees and continued into town.
She didn't really care about the stares she was getting because she was used to them from back home, but the silence from everyone when she walked near them was getting to her.She walked up to a vender and smiled at the old woman her fangs baley visable.
The old woman looked at her and smiled back "What can I get you dearie?" she said.
Leyli looked at the cakes and treats on her tray. "Um I think I will have four cakes and three treats. PLease" she said kindly.
The old woman however didn't hear a word she said, for she had noticed leyli's fangs as she talked. Freezing up she pointed at her "Why.....Why do you need food you are a VAMPIRE?!" she yelled at her. Everyone on the street turned to look at the old woman and Leyli.
Leyli looked behind her and saw that the villagers were moving in closer to her. She was confused 'Why are they moving closser if they fear or hate vampires so?' she thought, then when some sunlight burst through the clouds it hit some metals weapons the villagers had in there hands. Hidden from view. She gasped and jumped into the air completely over all their heads. Everyone looked up in awe as she landed perfectly in a window seal. looking down upon the all, she saw that all the villagers had weapons. One way in the back held up a wooden stick with a string. She had never seen the weapon before and stared at him. As he put a stick with a point on the wooden pole thing. He pulled the string back aloong with the end of the stick.Then he realesed the wood and it flew towards Leyli.
If she hadn't been a Vampire it would have pierced her heart and killed her.Though before it could hit her chest she caught it midair. All the villagers drew away in shock. Some ran home. other's yelled at her "Demon!" "Which!!" One very stupid drunk idiot yelled out "The elves will have you head Demon WHich!!!"
This was when Leyli became fed up with there accusations. She jumped from the window and landed in front of the drunked fool. She grinned a toothy smile. She knew that it was the elves who regulated the vampires activities, but she would always be a special case to the elves. If she were to ever go insane and go on a massive killing spree they would not take action.
"I happen to be a special case to the elves you fool." she said and pushed her hair back revealing her elven ears. Everyone gasped at the ears. They ran away thinking she would want revenge. Soon the whole street was deserted. She sighed and took some treats leaving money on the stand for the old woman. Walking back to the forest she noticed the wooden weapon from before. Picking it up she took it back with her wanting to know how to use it.
