{Otome no Arubamu} Jiru-chan's Art Shop [OPEN] Owner: jiru-chan0701
Once again, Jiru sat behind the counter of her Art Shop. She had three customers left: three more before she could get a rest.
She let out a sigh then continued what she was doing. She stared intently on the computer screen, her right hand scribbling on the Wacom Tablet. She was so engrossed on her work that she did not hear the entrance doorbell ring as a person came in.
The visitor walked towards the counter, signing on the logbook. He then waited for Jiru to greet him. When the girl did not greet him, he cleared his throat. However, the girl did not greet him yet; she still did not notice him.
He was left with no other choice but to do a special trick. He took a deep breath before exclaiming: "Miss Jiru! There's one million gold there!"
Jiru quickly stood up and looked for it. "Where?! Where?!"
She anime sweat-dropped when she realized it was only a trick. She faced her visitor and laughed nervously.
"Ah-ha-ha. Sorry about that. I was just too engrossed with my work." she reasoned with an apologetic smile.
"I noticed." he handed her a white envelope. "Here's Miss Hazel Wing's payment for her order."
Jiru accepted it and tore the edge of the envelope open. She then counted the money inside.
"Thanks," she said after she made sure it was the right amount of gold. She sighed inwardly when she found out that there was no tip for her.
"Oh, and here's the newspaper. Something big's gonna happen here at Gaia."
"Oh really..." she said boredly, getting the newspaper from the deliveryman. She never read the previous newspapers, so why read it now?
She signed some approval payment checks before the deliveryman bid her goodbye and left. She glanced on the wall clock - it was 3:00 in the afternoon. She decided to call it a day and closed the shop. She then made her way towards her home.
---
"I'm home!" she announced as she walked inside her house.
Runa, her pet dragon, came out from the shadows and tackled her. Jiru managed to balance herself from falling and held the female black dragon.
"Hey there, Runa. I brought you some pink seedkins." she said, tossing the fishes one by one on the air. Runa caught it easily with her strong jaws since it was a trained dragon. Not only was it strong, but very trained also.
"Good girl! I'll bring some blue seedkins tomorrow." she exclaimed happily to her pet, who in return snorted cheerfully.
She then placed her things on her desk and then lied down on her soft bed.
"I'm so bummed..." she mumbled tiredly, closing her eyes.
Runa sniffed on her master's things. There was a newspaper inside. Feeling curious, the dragon pulled it out and placed it on its master's lap.
Jiru opened her eyes and picked at it. "Oh, right. I forgot to throw this away." she said. She then stopped in amidst of what she was going to do when she read the headline.
"Rejected Olympics?" she mumbled with a puzzled look. She read the whole story and her eyes widened in surprise.
"The winner will get millions of gold?! OMG! I'M IN!" she exclaimed, punching the air with her fists. "Looks like we've got some training to do, Runa!" she said, looking at her dragon.
Runa made a whining whimper. It obviously hates training.
"What do you mean you don't want to?! I won't let this opportunity go! I will be rich!" she exclaimed with a determined look. "If that money gets in my hands, I don't need to run that shop! Alas, no more sufferings for that dreaded job!"
Runa snorted at her master.
"Well, I really love that job...but that's not the point! I want that money! Got that?!"
Runa only snorted again and disappeared on the shadows.
"I'll tell Amia then! I'll ask her to join the Team Durem with me."
---
Amia Folliot's House
Jiru stared dumbly at her friend's house. Everything inside...was just...SO EXPENSIVE! The lights, the furniture, the bed, the food were all expensive-looking! And not to mention, it was a huge house! She must've upgraded her house...
Amia suddenly appeared beside her and poured her cup with tea.
"I'm so glad you came, Jiru." she said, sitting on the chair across of Jiru.
"Ah...yeah." she said dumbly, snapping out of her trance.
Amia sat gracefully on her chair, like a princess should do. "So what brings you here?" she asked.
"Have you heard of the Rejected Olympics?" Jiru asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Of course I have! I'm on the Isle de Gambino Team. Mr. Gambino invited all rich people to join his team. He's giving out 10,000 gold to each participant." Amia informed happily, clapping her hands.
Jiru twitched upon hearing that. "So," she said, "you bought these things with the help of that money?" she pointed at her friend's expensive furniture.
"Of course not. I used my own money to buy these. A princess should never have cheap things! Oh-ho-ho-ho!"
Jiru rolled her eyes upon hearing her friend's familiar smug laugh. 'Why did I become this greedy person's friend?' she thought with a sigh.
"So, do you want to join the Isle de Gambino Team?" Amia asked, cutting Jiru's thoughts.
"Ah...no. I joined the Durem Team. Their color motive is cool." she said. 'The real reason why I joined them because I heard there's a hot guy there.' she thought with a grin.
"Oh, so we're on different teams! Good luck to both of us!" Amia said, returning to her calm demeanor.
"I'm very sure Ms. Amia's team will win!" said a tiny voice.
Jiru looked at Amia's Spiderwick Sprite, who suddenly appeared out-of-nowhere, and glared at it.
"Shut up, stupid sprite. No one's asking for your opinion." she retorted smugly.
"How dare you call me stupid!? For your information, I am actually smart!"
"Oh really?! Prove it!"
The two bickered loudly as a fight between the two of them started.
Amia only drank her cup of tea and smiled afterwards. "They sure get along well, don't they, Runa?" she said to Runa, who was playing with the shadows. The dragon only snorted as a reply.
"I wonder what Leon is doing?"

Meanwhile, at the Aekea Team Headquarters
"We shall win this year's Olympics! Victory shall be ours!" said a black-haired guy who wore a determined look on his face.
The orcs, along with Liam and Edy, cheered loudly with him. Josie and Sam only watched them with a bored look.
"This will be a long, long Olympics." Sam said.
"Why can't I be a living creature?"
