Okay, so I went to a king's palace at Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, checking out the sites, when I reached some stone steps. I asked my dad if we could go and my brother, dad and I climb up the stairs, which led to a small little temple. At first, we went there to pray, then I saw a girl go up to the man, who was giving out insence, asking him something in Khmer (which I understand very little of.). He gave her a booklet of some kind with a wooden stick attached to it. I watched them, curious of what they were doing. She held the booklet on top of her head, and sticked the stick in between the booklet. She handed it to him and he opened to where the stick had been put. I asked my dad what they were doing and he told me he was giving her a prediction. I asked to do one, he said okay, and we waited until they finished.
When I went up (my dad came along too because I don't speak a word of Khmer.), I gave a donation of a few bills and sat down. He asked my dad some questions about me, like my Chinese zodiac sign and birthday, and he handed me the same booklet. I did the same as the previous girl did and handed it back. He did the same as before, and told my dad my prediction. My dad had a "Oh, really?" look on his face. I waited for it to be finished and as we walked out and back down the stairs, he told me what the man said, "I will have prosperous future, and will marry at the age of 19."
I thought about that this whole trip and will probably always think about it, wondering if it's true.
