today at this summer academy thing that i already talked about in my first journal entry, we went to this place called open book in minneapolis. we passed by the construction people rebuilding the 35W bridge, which had collapsed last year. i heard in school that they wanted to complete rebuilding the bridge by christmas this year. they looked like they had gotten pretty far today, the construction workers. it was surprising to see it finally, cuz i pass over in minneapolis sometimes and i never see where it once was cuz its like way over. but i was pretty excited cuz i finally got to see the spot it was in.
so anyways, we get to open book and it's like this messed up building, cuz on the first floor its a coffee shop and i had the best chocolate crossiant ever. the second floor was this loft which was really boring so we were only there for like five minutes. the only cool parts were seeing this ball made out of recycled books and then when we went up the stairs to get there they had like these tiles along the rail and then it'd say all these different words on them in cursive.
then the third floor had this publishing company called milkweed editions, which i had never heard of before, and we got to ask questions with one of the editors. we were supposed to all of this last week, but for some reason, and he never told us, we didn't fo it then.
so now there are only three days left of summer academy. wednesday is open house.
i can't wait!

what would people say
if they knew that i'm a jesusfreak?
what would people do
if they find that it's true?
i don't really care
if they label me a jesusfreak
there ain't no disgusing the truth
