From Death, to the Loved
I’ve fallen through to the other side
Far away from the blissful light
But the reason my heart still breaks
Is that she is left behind
We were supposed to be together
For the rest of eternity
But now I’m trapped in this hell
And I can only watch her cry
I long to hold her body
To kiss her one last time
But my soul is forever gone
Those demons did this to me!
I’ll find a way back to earth
And I will make them pay
I’ll make them suffer for all this
Bleed them ‘til they’re dry
If I make it back
No! I must!
Full of hate, tear them limb from limb
I’ve never been this way before
Gods, what has happened?
What has so changed me?
I thought that my death would end my pain
But to the loved it now belongs
I’ve fallen through to the other side
Far away from the blissful light
But the reason my heart still breaks
Is that she is left behind
We were supposed to be together
For the rest of eternity
But now I’m trapped in this hell
And I can only watch her cry
I long to hold her body
To kiss her one last time
But my soul is forever gone
Those demons did this to me!
I’ll find a way back to earth
And I will make them pay
I’ll make them suffer for all this
Bleed them ‘til they’re dry
If I make it back
No! I must!
Full of hate, tear them limb from limb
I’ve never been this way before
Gods, what has happened?
What has so changed me?
I thought that my death would end my pain
But to the loved it now belongs
My first poem, I only wrote three lines until I scrapped it.
In the land of Avador
Where dragons rule and griffons fly
Elven kings command the lands
It really sucked, and I was too busy watching Best Week Ever to really think, though I did write a haiku...
Glowsticks are sexy
Go throw them at Kanye West
Don't be late again!
He was two hours late for his own concert, and people were pissed and threw glowsticks at him. I knew that it wasn't serious enough to be submitted, so I wrote From Death, to the Loved instead. Originaly, it was supposed to be from the point of view of one of my characters. He is murdered on the day of his wedding, and from the afterworld he looks back and sees his wife crying. He's a big pacifist, but he all of a sudden has all these dark and violent feelings towards the murderers, and that's something that follows him through for awhile. After reading it a couple of times through and editing it so that it flowed better, now it sounds like some emo guy killed himself to free himself from the pain of whatever, and now he regrets doing so because "she" is in despair that he's gone.
It still makes sense, so hoorah for me!
To whoever managed to read all the way to the end, comment on whatever three of the poems that you want, especially the first.
P.S. I'm not an emo or anything, I just had no idea what to write, so I just took a scene from my books and went with it.
