He opened the door of the carriage himself, not waiting for the driver to decide t open it for him. Once inside those walls there'd be not backing out. Damn, if he was the first person there...His tailbone still hurt from the ride here, the soft cusion easily yeilding to hard wood on bumps andturns and that fact put him in an unhappy mood already.
The past night's conversation surfaced in his head, the women of the claneven finding a route to get to him, of all people. Being quite theproverbial 'newborn' in the clan, he had to hide in the most ingenious nooks and crannies of all. But they still got to him, and put him straight.. He still felt envious of those that already had aquired a mate. They didn't have to go through all this papering and instruction on how to dance and be a polite little gentleman. He should get one, in case something like this ever arises again. Most of this friends felt the same way. Why were they seperated again.
Felix sighed and contemplated the top hat sitting on the treacherous carriage seat morosely. Then, with another sigh, he'd been sighing like a lovesick puppy these couple of days, he adjusted the fabric onto his head, casting a dark glance on thelimiter that jingled merrily at the base of his neck. As if the thing didn't add to his already gloomy dispostion.
Finally, after making sure that one or two people had entered through the impressive wooden doors, he proceeded up the steps and the entrance hall, swiping his hat off as he entered. So little things to do, so much time...
