Bio: When he was younger, his clan had gotten raided by an enemy clan, who killed the entire village and enslaved the women and children. The children who couldn't stop crying were ordered to, otherwise their vocal chords would be ripped out. Unfortunately, Iza spoke out to protect his mother from being whipped to death. The slave driver tore his voice from him then and there, and left him for dead.
Iza was an exceptionally strong boy, and managed to escape after the driver moved on. He taught himself sign language in order to communicate, and has since learned how to sign in several different languages.
