Looking back at the this journal that I wrote 2 years ago, I am amazed by the power of time. For the last year I have been living on my own, and because of the space I have grown closer to my parents, even my dad. He did some really screwed up things when I was younger, but he never did it out of malice. Everyone always says your parents do what they think is best for you. What everyone doesn't say is that your parents are human. They are susceptible to emotions like anger. They make mistakes. So if there is someone in your life that you love, but they piss you off more than anything, maybe you just need some space.
