Today was different than yesterday. It wasn't better. In fact, it was most DEFINITELY worse. But by the end of the day, it WILL be better.

Song of the Day...Arms of Sorrow, by Killswitch Engage

Status: self reflecting

Why find flaws in others when you can find so many more in yourself?

I seem to have a short term memory, so I can't elaborate all of the details of yesterday. All I can say is that Japanese Cultural Club was fun. Actually, we didn't have an official club meeting. We had a birthday party for Thomas. ^^ It was out in the couryard near the exit farther from the cafeteria entrance. I was mostly just hanging out with Karin. And of course, I stalked my pony (AKA Mary) and my puppy (AKA Hera). Patsy even did my hair. ^^ She's really good at doing hair. =) And at some point when I got bored, me and Patsy just started jumping up and down for no apparent reason 146 times. Yes, it was my idea. And afterwards, Tensae started randomly jumping up and down on his own. xD Now that I think about, I haven't seen him at JPC in a long while now.

After a while of having fun on the grassy little hills that our courtyard is so lucky to have, Karin and I went to the train station/bus stop with Tensae. And I was on my way home.

Now, as I was saying, today was alright. Oh wait. I wasn't saying that at all, now was I? Well, nevertheless, I am saying it now!

In the morning, I didn't have much to do but chat since I had, for once, not saved my English homework for first period. And there was no Latin homework, thankfully. ^^ Christie also pointed something interesting out to me. I never realized that our school had cliques who don't associate much outside of their little groups. Not to be racially prejudiced or anything, but it would seem that the while people do stick together. And same goes for certain groups of Asian people. Though, in my opinion, cliques are hardly that big of a deal, because I'm sure that these things are established becasue we simply don't know those people well enough to say much else about them. All we know, is that they are together. Does the same go for a japanese-brown person like myself? =)

Second period was pretty nice. We got into our peer edit groups (me, Janet, Jonathan, Hyein) and we worked on a They Say/He Says/I Say essay about videogames based on an article by Steven Johnson. It took us a while to get started becasue Hyein was trying to fix my messed up binder which was overstuffed (Arigatou goseimasu Hyein-chan!). We manged to waste a lot of time talking about other classes and such. And even though Janet and Hyein thought videogames were bad, we went with the popular vote (2 out of 4, from me and Jonathan xD) We almost finished when we got started, and then of course, the bell decided to wake up and ring us off to our next oh so wonderful class.

Math was alright. I seem to have a good understanding of constructions, though my hands aren't steady enough for using a compass I suppose. Makes me want to do do sumi paintings again! I miss art class with Ms. Benner, back when me and Jazzy used to pick on the hut-nun!

Anyway, Lunch was pretty fun. We actually played handball in the handball courts today. Basically, me, Lindah and Michelle played together. A couple of other people came in later. It is really just so sad how badly we sucked comapred to the upperclssmen right beside us. Actually, it was pretty hilarious when Lindah first saw the empty courts. SHE RAN FOR IT. And me and Michelle followed. Haha, even the security guard urged us to hurry up if we wanted a court. ^^ It was pretty fun, I have to say. Lindah has a killer serve. ^^ And me and Michelle are doing reasonable for ammateurs I think.

Latin was pretty boring. Well...it was okay that is. We were supposed to act out someting from the chapter, but the bell rang as always before my group went.

Biology was okay too. Mr. Davis really confuses me sometimes if I don't read about the concepts on my own. >< Though somehow, when it comes around to the test, it all just pops into my head and magically makes sense. ^^

Gym was pretty boring. I felt like a loner just walking around. There was no soccer ball today to play, so it was either frisbee or that game that resembles baseball (i think it's called wuggleball?), or just hanging out. I chased Anna around (heh heh, she fears my hugs. ^^) a bit and for the rest of the time I just talked to Cindy and Esther and Pinky and just walked around on my own.

Global was pretty nice. We went in the computer rooms in 320 and we read on this site about a tapestry that portrayed a war over the throme in England in the 1000s between Harold and William (after the death of King Edward the Cofessor). I actually rather enjoyed the story. Unusual, no?

English was alright as well. Even though it was jsut a plain old worksheet as usual, I actually knew al the answers since I did the reading last nite. ^^ And as it turned out, Ms. McGuigan threw a reality of the book (To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee) into our faces. Tom RObinson most likely did NOT runaway, causing 17 shots to get hima s he climbed over the fence. In fact, climbing over a fence with one arm would be pretty hard. And 17 shots was hardly necessary. In other words, they (the whites) killed him.

Actually, I was reading the book on the way home too and I finished it just a while ago. Bob Ewell actually tried to killJem and Scout...talk about low.

For a book that I've called boring so many times, it was alright. Better, even.

Did I mention, I wasn't particularly happy today. And as I said, by the end of today, I WILL BE!
