In this corner
In this life
We fight fire
And we die

I open my wings
I glide away
Fighting the fight
Another day

I see the mountains
I see the sky
I touch the water and still fly

The winds roar
The clouds cry
And still
I won’t die

I cease the flapping
I hit the ground
I look up
I look down

I made my last
My last journey
I made my last
My last flight

I will sleep
In bed tonight
