I've decided to eat healthier. Or at least learn moderation. I used to hardly ever eat sweets, but after I got a bike adn was allowed to ride less then a mile to ride aid I've been eating at least one candy bar equivalent per day. Terrible. Luckily I've resolved to excersize more in order to train for highschool gym (can you say thursday mile runs????) which is next year XP
So, I'm making a list of . . . . stuff I wanna do to help myself feel better goals.
-eat less candy
-excersize more
-procrastinate better
-Do homework
-Don't let grades slip down
-Achieve 4.0 biggrin
-Get a mile run I can be proud of (as in under nine minutes)
-do more then 26 pushups next time.
-Beable to double tounge my Bb flat scale with out repeating a note.
WOOOOOO
See, there were tests today. Instead of running the mile, we did one lap and pushups and sit ups. A mile is 2 3/4 laps, but I usually round it to 3 when doing laps.
I got 2:48 on one lap, I think I ran a bit too fast at the beginning so I slowed down a lot, but I never walked, and then I sprinted to the end of hte lap.
Usualy I get 3:30 on a lap.
So I rocked.
I also did 26 pushups (last time I did 25 oh!!!)
And 33 situps (because in an attempt to trian for fitness testing(which I though was later) I did 50 the day before and was pretty dang sore)
Training! OMG
EDIT: alright, so some amount of days later, I have do not even recall running the mile whatsoever razz I still eat plenty candy but that's because it was Christmas so it was around. I did achieve a 4.0, which I'm hecka surprised by since I totally slacked, 26 pushups now would make me crash and burn, and I can double tongue my F major scale, not the Bb as of yet XD
MY NEW GOALS LOL
master scale routine
make allstate next year
do good in nor cal this year(already made it)
try and figure out how to get back in the gym (it really did help, I almost got abs but then my dad's hip kept him from going, which kept me from going, now I gained the five pounds back > sad I don't want the five poundz!!)
don't go _searching_ for drama. Let it come to me, if it does, then I'll deal with it with class, if it doesn't, then WOOHOO I AVOID DRAMA PLZ
get a real nice pair of pants
erm. alright then. Don't wanna set the bar too high.
now to go do my hw! {fake enthusiams quickly fades with a massive drawn out sigh)
Edit: hah, entry=8th grade, 1st edit=9th grade, 2nd edit=summer break after 10th grade
So,..as for the goals from eighth grade:
1. Read More
I guess I have been reading more. Two books on a summer reading list for AP english, plus some recreational novels for entertainment (hitchhikers guide!).
2.eat less candy
Surprisingly I don't eat as much candy nowadays! I usually splurge at the Saturday farmers market since there is a bakery stand with EXCELLENT sweets. As far as trips to Rite-Aid go they are less often and have been replaced by less frequent trips to Chipotle and rarely Starbucks razz
3. Exercise more
I ended up joining track freshmen year, which is where I pushed past a MAJOR fitness barrier I didn't even know I had. And I hurt myself :
Sophomore year I did preseason with post cross country/pre track-distance people. It was fun but I was dead half a mile into the run the first time I went. I ended up getting really sick and had to quit distance. Then I went back but switched to a less intense event: jumping. Then I got sick again so I quit the season all together with hopes of joining the next year.
Now I run (2-4 or 5 miles 5 or 6 days a week) and bike (10 or so miles). I'm hoping to swim with my dad's gf and purchase a yoga mat and participate in classes at a new studio downtown. You can say I'm somewhat of an exercise addict.
4. Procrastinate better
I must say this goal did not go well, nor do I believe this was ever a good goal in the first place whee
5. Do homework
Done
6. Don't let grades slip down/4.0
Achieved twice! Possibly three times, haven't gotten my report card back. Would of gotten a 4.0 last semester freshmen year but ended with a B+ in Bio. Still mad about it too, really ,I baked an extra credit cake AND studied for hours for the final and knew every question >.>
7. Get a mile run time I can be proud of, as in under nine minutes
9:03. I was PISSED.
8. Beable to double tongue Bb scale
That was actually in an honorband piece so I learned it and conquered it
As for wanting to make allstate:
Did it! Got first chair solo cornet in the second band out of three. According to them, I'm the 8th best highschool trumpet player in california and I'll do better next year hopefully smile
