Taken for granted
You have no idea how lucky you are.
You have a girl who is always by your side, who will listen to everything you say, who is willing to help you through your pain, who loves you unconditionally.
She loves you even though you hurt her. She loves you even though she knows that you will never love her back.
Yet you don't care.
You don't even see,
That her heart is breaking every time she yearns to hold you, every time she tries to speak to you but you shut her up, every time you act as though it's an obligation to be with her.
You can't care.
You can't even see,
Because you see her as nothing more than someone to talk to, as someone to get help from in class.
You won't care
You won't even see,
Because you think that she hasn't tried every day to see you as nothing more than a friend, you think you're not doing anything wrong when you're rude or treat her like dirt.
You don't deserve her love.
But one day she'll be gone and you'll wonder why there's a cold, gaping
hole in your heart.
Then you'll know that you took her for granted.
You don't care.
You don't even see me.
Because I'm nothing
