I went into town today and watched a movie. Surprisingly, I met some very interesting people. One guy was quite friendly, but I was too shy to get to know him very well. I guess I'm afraid of being discovered for who I really am. The cat has been very helpful to me, once I managed to convince him not to eat the chicky that I found. I'm starting to really get used to this life, I think.

Sometimes though, I really long for my old life, and my old friends. I don't know if I'll ever get to see them again. I write letters to them that I know I can never send. It would be too dangerous. I'm fearful of even mentioning them in this journal, for fear of being discovered. But so far, I think that my disguise is working well. There are so many interesting people in Barton, I virtually go unnoticed. And that's how I plan to keep it.
