Old Man's Creek
Down by Old man's creek
A bunch of friends of mine were playing hide and seek
Hidden amongst trees and shrubs
I found a trail of grubs
Intrigued, I followed its path
walking down winding paths, over logs, behind trees I hath
found something or rather someone shockingly
A person laying on the cold hard ground looking at me mockingly
I was disgusted yet curious
To know what happened to this person promiscuous.
I yelled for my friends
They all arrived from different ends --
Of the forest -- look here i said
Call the fire department, call the police, you there call for some aid
This person is dead
With leaves as his bed
All stood quiet, not a sound could be heard
Then footsteps far away crunching on fallen branches like an elephant herd
Broke the deadly silence, frightening me
Like a busy bee
I ushered the others away
There is no good being seen at this scene today
I hurried down the path, with this strange feeling crawling down my back
Eyes followed me from the corners of mine eyes, waiting for the attack
I ran faster feeling hot musky breath against my skin
I kept on running, a thing right on my tail -- and it was going to win
Then suddenly it all went black, black as night
And just like that I went out like a light.
